Hosts Jesse and Cody discuss "controlled opposition", media figures who may be in the palm of nefarious forces and spreading disinformation to keep you uninformed and complacent; how the ways and means of the news-reporting industry can engender or influence our perceptions and understanding of current events; and the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri: the militarization of our police forces across the country; the subtle, latent racism that lurks within institutions, power structures, and collective unconscious; and the lack of accountabily for our leaders and authority figures, leading to degradation and destruction of our rights and freedoms, plunging America into a nightmare wherein we have become the very thing we claim to fight and defend ourselves against.
Gavin Mannion - the newest member of Team Garmin Sharp - joins us this evening for a look at Stage 2 of the US Pro Cycling Challenge. Alex Howes of Garmin Sharp took possession of the Leader's Jersey today racing through some truly awful weather conditions. Stage 2 opened fast by ripping down the Aspen Valley through the sprint cities of Basalt and Carbondale before tackling the 8,700 ft. McClure Pass. A short descent brings the race to Gunnison County road 12, which is a 20-mile rollercoaster that constantly changes from pavement to dirt and back again, while topping out at 9,900 ft. over Kebler Pass. A technical descent into Crested Butte brings the race back to familiar terrain. As in 2011 and 2012, the race will finish up with a sprint through downtown Crested Butte and the steep finish climb up to Mt. Crested Butte.

Hear interview with Joan Landes, Mental Health Expert, give us her perspective on what Common Core Standards Initiative may mean for America's upcoming generation. We hear the latest from Ken Mercer (Texas State Board of Ed.) who says:
“For today’s patriots, this is our Valley Forge and our D-Day - this is the Revolution of 2014!” ...
On July 4th we witnessed nationwide patriotism honoring our Founding Fathers and the sacrifices of our courageous men and women in uniform. This must have annoyed David Coleman, the chief architect of the controversial Common Core national standards, and many of his College Board (CB) colleagues.
After drafting the Common Core English language arts standards, Coleman became president of the CB. He immediately moved to implement his Common Core standards into the Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT)."
Let's hear Joan's perspective on this Common Core movement and can it change the future of America. Learn and share for such a time as this...
