On December 3, 12-year-old Ronin Shimizu, a former 6th grader enrolled at Folsom Middle School, committed suicide after schoolmates had bullied him for being a cheerleader.
According to the CDC, suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year.
Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University.
A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying
10 to 14 year old girls may be at even higher risk for suicide, according to the study above
According to statistics reported by ABC News, nearly 30 percent of students are either bullies or victims of bullying, and 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying
Anonymous Alerts® is a tool which enables students to quickly report bullying, cyberbullying, depression, family problems, drug and alcohol abuse, gang-related issues, sexual harassment, guns/weapons in schools, theft/vandalism or unusual student behavior which may warrant immediate attention by school officials. The system is simple and secure for students and school officials.

When you think of property theft, you think of things someone can take away with them: a wallet, a purse, jewelry, or a larger item such as a television or even a car. You don't think things like a house or several acres of land can be stolen from you. But Shirley Johnson and her family have been living a nightmare involving their property in Alabama. It seems that the white family that formerly owned Ms. Johnson's family deeded a parcel of land to their former slaves, Shirley Johnson's ancestors. But somewhere along the line, the descendants of the slaveowners wanted to take back the property from the descendants of the slaves, and in that former slaveholding state of Alabama, whose rights of ownership do you think the courts upheld? Ms. Johnson watched her father and grandfather fight a battle to uphold their family's property ownership rights, and now she and her siblings must continue that fight as the Alabama courts seem to prove that in the eyes of the law, just like the Dred Scott Decision stated: "A Black Man Has No Rights A White Man Is Bound To Respect." What will it take for the Johnson family to receive justice in Alabama? A Federal Lawsuit? Do you and your family own property? Could this happen to you?

Millions of people with potential to live as model citizens repetitively struggle to portray a positive image often due to not having enough income to take care of necessities and occassional wants. Loving couples often argue over money so long that it leads to divorce, domestic abuse or death. Good parents working two or three jobs often find themselves subject to charges of child neglect. Violent crimes, robbery and theft merchandizing, plus drug and sex trafficking are each seen as a means to temporarily satisfy financial needs. Alcohol and drug abuse are also side effects.

Facts for parents to consider to inspire choosing that perfect “gift” for their loved one:
19 US states allow educators to take a wooden board to strike the sons and daughters left in their care.
Among primary targets for this maltreatment are sons and daughters in foster care, as foster care parents often sign school policy forms to give the school permission to strike sons and daughters of grieving parents for their “misdeeds.”
Currently, there is available US federal legislation to ban the abuse of all school age American sons and daughters entitled “Ending Corporal Punishment in Schools Act,” HR 5005, crafted to prevent this maltreatment and other “legalized” forms of “pain-based behavior management” targeted at this population of disadvantaged American schoolchildren and teenagers. A son or daughter, yours or someone elses, will be protected from this sanctioned abuse if the bill is passed into US federal law by Friday, January 2, 2015, 6 pm EST.
Contact us. Say, “I want to give Johnny and Janie HR 5005 for Christmas. What can I do to help.”
