Much of the work of advancing women in the legal workplace falls on the shoulders of women. Most firms have women’s initiatives run by and for women, and these initiatives have great value. But they are not changing the norms, attitudes and biases that govern law firm advancement, leadership and rewards. Little significant change is possible at the top of law firms, where it really counts, unless those with power – men – take the lead and are accountable for it.

Your intrepid stoner here at sevsdeadserious is so happy to see that the legalization of yours truly's favorite herbal medicine is overjoyed by the fact that the legalization of said herbal remedy has NOT led to the downfall of society, a rise in urban crime and the end of the family unit; though you can here some great rock-n-roll every where you smell the pungent aroma of the evil weed. When you incarcerate people for involvement in marijuana, the offending state will spend $50,000 per year for one person's barely illegal activities versus, no incarceration and tax revenues for the state. Sin taxes made this country great, so why shouldn't the "wages of sin" help the state...why the exhorbitant taxes on booze and ciggy butts because the state needs the money and what state couldn't use a little greater cash flow. And not that we should forget the already brimming over scandal in the NFL as another player gets arrested for beating the shit out of someone, anyone...and where is Roger Goodell? I believe that question is rhetorical...Goodell is TOTALLY lost in his own stupidity and lies. The NFL (National Felony League).
The asininity just won't ever end. Anyone who thought it couldn't worse than the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal for the NFL, was very very wrong. Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti and George "the Howitzer" Gerbo continue their annoyance on the asinine issues, that seem to never stop plaguing sports. While they're annoyed like everybody else, your favorite sports genius' were born to analyze the overly asinine.
Adrian Peterson joins Rice amomg recognizable running backs, now shamed by off the field transgressions. With pictures of abuse to his four year old son surfacing, what is the perception of Peterson compared to Rice? Did the Vikings handle this situation properly or did they go from handling it right to messing it up? Why has NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell been silent during the Peterson drama? Mike goes on one of his epic rants explaining why it's not as easy as some think for a franchise to outright release a star player dealing with legal trouble. What can the league do to change? A message to the buffoons claiming their "done" with the NFL is sent.
Unacceptable behavior isn't going in the professional ranks. Jameis Winston can't stop acting a fool. Will this recent incident cause a red flag in Winston's draft stock? How were Manziel's actions different? Suspended for only one half?! Come on, man!
To sprinkle some joy in this field of ridiculousness, the MLB pennant races are almost over. Who will claim the final playoff spots? Could we have an Orioles and Nationals Beltway World Series? Did Ron Washington owe us an apology for his adulterty? The short answer....NO.
If you're not conquering the asinine, you're simply not conquering. The Howitzer and Buzz-saw conquer all that is asinine, one day, at a time....

Tammy Saltzman The Continuous Reinvention of The Achievement Avatar is my guest. Tammy’s websites: http://www.tbslawpa.com, http://www.choicemediations.com, http://www.tammysaltzman.com, http://www.divorceconnectionnetwork.com, Tammy’s complete trust in her own inner voice and the unwavering courage to persevere has enabled Tammy to dream the biggest dreams, set the highest goals and consistently achieve success. One of her mom’s many mantras was always “if you can see it Tammy, then you can achieve it.” Tammy’s ability to reinvent herself time after time was built on this strong ideal as well as many other ideals she has learned along the way. Tammy has over 30 years of diversified business experience that now translates into helping others achieve their own success in life. As early as 10 years old Tammy had embarked on her career in sales and marketing which included a paper route for Pennysaver, Avon, Mary Kay and Tupperware. Tammy left New York and the comfort of her family and moved to South Florida aka Paradise. It was then after she settled in that she decided to return to school to earn her college degree. In 1995 at 34 years old Tammy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from Barry University, in Miami, Florida. Playing the odds, she sat for the LSAT (Law School Assessment Test) and applied to the 3 South Florida Law Schools, believing another mantra; “if it’s meant to be then it will be.” When Tammy finally graduated from law school at 37 from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she was awarded “The Most Outstanding Woman of The Year Award” from the National Association of Women Lawyers.
Executive director David Morrissey, MPS the US International Council on Disabilities will speak about‘Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities CRPD) and the importance of it to all people with disabities now in 2014!
The United States signed the CRPD in 2009. On December 4, 2012 the United States Senate considered the ratification of the CRPD but fell 5 votes short of the super majority vote required. The media coverage of the Senate’s failure to ratify the disability treaty has been overwhelming and the CRPD’s Senate leaders remain committed to bringing the disability treaty up in the 113th Congress.
What is the “Disability Treaty?”
The Disability Treaty (known as the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities,“CRPD”) is an international treaty that was inspired by U.S. leadership in recognizing the rights of people with disabilities. Why should the Senate vote for ratification?
The Senate needs to fight for the 57.8 million Americans with disabilities, 5.5 million disabled American veterans, and the 1 billion people with disabilities around the world and vote to ratify the CRPD.
Who supports ratification of the disability treaty?
Ratification of the CRPD is supported by hundreds of disability organizations, civil rights groups, faith organizations, veterans groups, and major business groups including the Chamber of Commerce.
