Ur Connection Radio Show #15-02: Hollywood Ghost Hunters - RICK MCCALLUM

    in Spirituality

Rick’s first movie was Lone Wolf McQuade, a Chuck Norris movie that was filmed in El Paso.

While filming a movie at Mansfield prison in Ohio, a very haunted place, Rick and Kane were walking through the back cells of the prison when they saw the shadow of a man cross in front of them about 30 yards ahead ..Kane took off after it, but it vanished..Now Rick had been ghost hunting since living in a very haunted house in Texas in 1979, and Kane had ghost hunted around the island where he grew up, and neither one knew the other was interested in ghosts..that night the Hollywood Ghost Hunters was formed, along with several other people in the horror movies, includind R A Mihailoff, who played Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3..

The Hollywood Ghost Hunters were featured on the hit TV show Ghost Adventures, and became good friends with Zak Bagans, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin, all who are the real deal when it comes to both ghost hunting and being good guys, and we hope to hunt with them again, it was a heckuva good time..

Rick McCallum is known for his work on J. Edgar (2011), The Devil’s Rejects (2005) and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994).

    # 119 Teri McMInn

    in Entertainment

For those of you who remember the first time you saw “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," you undoubtedly recall the defining scene in the film. The scene that literally scared you, and millions across the world out of their seats, and has remained burned into the psyche of all who’ve watched the film; poor, sweet “Pam," played by Teri McMinn, placed screaming and writhing on the meat hook by “Leatherface”. Her role as “Pam” garnered Teri a place in cinematic history. That single, powerful performance made her a film icon. She is known and beloved around the world, even after years of living in obscurity.
In July 1973, while rehearsing "Catch Me If You Can" at Mary Moody Northern Theater at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. The play starred actor, Frank Sutton, best known for his role of Gunnery Sergeant Vince Carter on the CBS television series Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. Serendipitously, Tobe Hooper and Kim Henkel were also in Austin, casting their independent horror film. Kim saw Teri’s publicity picture in the Austin American Statesman and called her to come for an audition. The working title of their film was, at that time called, "HEADCHEESE." Later the title of the film became, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." And that, folks, is how history is made!

    The Bully Effect

    in Education

Doug Gilbert (born January 5, 1969) is a professional wrestler from Memphis, Tennessee who wrestles on the independent circuit. He is the brother of the late "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert and the son of wrestler/referee/promoter Tommy Gilbert Gilbert was given the Nightmare Freddie gimmick by his father, Tommy Gilbert, who had returned to wrestling after being a referee for a time but opted to stay under a mask during the tenure. Nightmare Freddy (or just Freddy, as he was usually called) was a fairly successful character in the Memphis area and was actually a babyface for most of his run. He feuded with the Master of Pain. Freddy was, of course, based on Freddy Krueger, the main character in the A Nightmare on Elm Street films. He even came out wearing the bladed glove. Under Doug's tenure under the rubber mask, Freddy teamed with a Jason (from Friday the 13th) inspired wrestler as well as a Frankenstein, a Wolfman, and Leatherface. Freddy also toured in Japan where he gained even more popularity and helped start a "movie monster/wrestler" boom, most notably in the W*ing federation, where Doug joined his brother Eddie in an infamous match. Feeling betrayed by the company, Doug, wrestling as Nightmare Freddy, and Eddie, as The Boogeyman (a gimmick inspired by the main character from the Halloween series of horror movies), broke character after a tag match, removed their masks and shot on the company. Doug continues to wrestle as Freddy in Japan and is still very popular, fighting other “monster” wrestlers like Leatherface and The Cryptkeeper. Gilbert made one appearance in the World Wrestling Federation, competing under his own name as an entrant in the 1996 Royal Rumble match.[5] He entered at #14, and lasted 3 minutes before being eliminated by Vader.
