Drifting Through Life?: Identifying God's Plan To Make You Happy

    in The Bible

The older we get the more time slips away. If you have a passion for something and you are pursuing it that is good. However, having a passion for something will not make us happy. Most of us probably know this by now. Many famous people have obtained their passion and goals. But even in obtaining their passion and goals they can experience a broken heart, a terminal illness, and a lonliness that can lead to deep depression, or a crippling disease. Happiness and contentment is only found in our connection to our Creator through our Savior and perfect model of what it means to be both human and divine. Jesus Christ. God created us to be happy with a sincere, honest, Spirit filled relationship with Him. But most people don't believe that, so they look endlessly in trying to find satisfaction somewhere else. It all starts with a total surrender to the Truth found in Jesus. Not a religion but a person. I will be talikng about that on today's show.

Refugee Resettlement & Illegal Aliens, Good or Bad?

    in Politics Conservative

Southern Sense is a show of conservative talk with Annie "The Radio Chick" Ubelis and Curtis "CS" Bennett.  Informative, fun, irreverent and politically incorrect, you never know where we'll go, but you'll love the journey!

    Visit our website at Southern-Sense.com.

Guest: Mike Cutler, Immigration Expert  "Since the attacks of 9/11 I have endeavored to do whatever I can in order to provide my perspectives on immigration that impact everything from national security and criminal justice to the economy, the environment, education, health care and other issues.

The immigration issue is so incredibly important to our nation and, while it is often portrayed as being of great concern to so-called political “Conservatives,” in my view, it must be of great concern to all Americans of all political perspectives and affiliations.  In fact, I have been a registered Democrat ever since I cast my first ballot as a college student.

Democracy is supposed to be about discourse and the honest and open debate in which all perspectives are considered before critical decisions are made.  My goal is to provide the insight that I have acquired during my career which spanned some 30 years and continued through my interaction with politicians, journalists and others with whom I have interacted as an INS officer and since my departure from that agency and my involvement in Congressional hearings and media appearances."

    Wanda's Picks Radio Show

    in Art

This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forebearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay!

Agents of Change, co-director, co-producer, Abby Ginsberg, and student leaders at SFSU: Jimmy Garrett and Benny Stewart, and cast join us in the studio to talk about a powerful student-led protest movement on college campuses in the late-1960s and its connection to the Black Lives Matter movement on campuses today. The film premieres at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, May 15, 1 - 4 p.m. Visit http://www.agentsofchangefilm.com/events/
