    Reporter's roundtable for our 100th episode

    Join us on Thursday, May 28 at 11 a.m. for a reporters' roundtable discussion as Record Talk Radio broadcasts its 100th episode.


    So far, our guests will include Record reporters Linda Moss, Scott Fallon and Mary Jo Layton.


    Moss will talk about her story on the contested Republican primary race in Rutherford where incumbent Joseph DeSalvo is facing challenger Daphne Williams-Fox, the grand-daughter of famed poet William Carlos Williams.


    The fate of the performing arts center that bears Williams' name is one of the key issues in the race, which GOP voters will decide next week.


    Fallon will talk about his recent story on the leaf munching moths and other insects headed our way this summer.


    Layton will discuss her recent stories on a data breach at a billing company used by emergency room physicians.

    Layton Green and Tory Allyn

    Layton is a mystery/suspense/thriller writer and the author of the bestselling Dominic Grey series, as well as other works of fiction. His novels have been nominated for several awards (including a finalist for an International Thriller Award) and have reached #1 on numerous genre lists in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.     Tory Allyn currently resides in Upstate New York. Although born in Syracuse, he was raised in the quaint town of Baldwinsville with his brother and two sisters, who drove him into becoming the crazy person he is today. As a child, he made up many a tale. Some funny; others dark and brooding, but all started him on the path to writing. Today, his nephew, lovingly referred to as The Monster Child, is his partner in crime. Most days, you will see them playing ball at a nearby park, going for a dip in the backyard pool or snowboarding on a popular mountainside. Tory has written his first novel titled, ALTER EGO, has completed a second novel titled, ALTERED STATE, and is currently working on the third which will be titled, ALTER BOUND.     Norman Buckley is a television director, best known for his work on PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, RIZZOLI AND ISLES, THE FOSTERS, THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA, CHASING LIFE, SWITCHED AT BIRTH, THE OC, CHUCK, and GOSSIP GIRL, among others. Buckley’s first job in the film industry was as assistant editor on the 1983 Oscar-nominated film TENDER MERCIES, which featured his sister, actress Betty Buckley. Buckley continued editing for a number of year on many films, television series, and TV movies. He apprenticed under some of the best film editors in the business, including Carol Littleton, Sam O'Steen, William Anderson, and Bob Leighton. He also worked with many outstanding directors, including Bruce Beresford, Robert Benton, Mike Nichols, Rob Reiner, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, Richard Donner, J.S. Cardone, McG, Doug Liman, and Robert M. Young. He worked as an editor on many independent films at the Sundance, Toronto, and Telluride film festivals, including HAPPY, TEXAS, which he also associate-produced. Beginning in 2000, Buckley edited several television pilots, all of which were picked up to series. He has been nominated twice for an American Cinema Editors award: in 2003 for JOE AND MAX, for best-edited motion picture for non-commercial television, and in 2008 for the pilot of CHUCK, for best-edited one-hour series for commercial television. After editing the pilot episode of THE OC in 2003, he began his directing career by helming six episodes of that series.
