There were three girls and three boys in all. His Daddy was sixty years old when Clyde was born, and his Mama was forty.

He grew up in the religiously conservative, segregated South. His Daddy lost all of his money and was forced to move the family to Arkansas to be near relatives. He was disabled and could not work, but wouldn’t take public assistance. Clyde’s Mother made $15/week cleaning houses. The family tried to subsist on food grown on their five-acre plot. With an additional mouth to feed, the oldest two boys enlisted in the service to send money home.

O YE DRYBONES : The Destruction Of Region 5/ THE REV PINKNEY STORY

    in Current Events

Today is the 414th day that Rev. Edward Pinkney of Benton Harbor, Michigan sits in prison doing felony time (2 1/2 to 10 years) for a misdemeanor crime he did not commit. When they first tried to arrest Rev. Pinkney they surrounded the block where he lives, blocked off his street to traffic and sent in a SWAT team. Why did they need that kind of force? Did they intend to silence him by adding his name to the growing list of those murdered by police terror? Luckily they just missed him. He had taken his wife out for her birthday.

The fact is no one charged with something as small as petition fraud, a misdemeanor, gets that kind of response. This shows the lengths to which corporate dictatorship in Michigan will go to crush anyone who opposes them. Rev. Pinckney was the first one to warn the American people about the dangers of the emergency Financial Manager system. The validity of those warnings have come true in the poisoning of Flint, Michigan. With the eyes of the world now upon Flint and the heartfelt outpouring of aid being sent there, let us not overlook or forget the plight of rev. Pinkney. FREE REV. PINKNEY NOW.

Mississippi confirmed God killed at least 10 people in fierce tornado

    in Music

On Thursday, heavy rain flooded parts of Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina causing mudslides, multiple road closures. It also shut down two stations on Atlanta's public rail system.  Officials in Mississippi have confirmed that four people were killed Wednesday evening in Benton County and two more in Marshall County in connection with the severe weather that swept through the area. Two are still missing in Benton and Tippah counties. Holly Springs coroner James Anderson told The Weather Channel that a 7-year-old boy was found dead in a van on Highway 7 outside Holly Springs in Marshall County. The boy's family was taken in unknown condition to a nearby hospital. Anderson didn't release any preliminary cause of death, but did confirm it was related to the severe weather in the area.  The three other deaths in Benton County were confirmed by the emergency management director for Benton County. The vicitms have not been identified, but Benton County Coroner Shane Ward said the dead are two men and one woman, all approximately in their 60s.  At least 40 people across six Mississippi counties were injured in severe storms, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
