LeAnne Parsons The Walk Your Talk Coach will be joined in this episode by Prisca a local Molecular Biologist from Los Alamos New Mexico!
Here is a note form Prisca!
I am a molecular biologist. I moved to New Mexico from Illinois to start a postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory, working on algae biofuels. Being a scientist is not always what I thought I'd become.
I grew up wanting to be a dancer/choreographer, then a United Nations interpreter, a nun, a lawyer...until as a teenager I came across "Double helix" on TV, a dramatization of the race to solve the structure of DNA, starring Jeff Goldblum. I realized science could be very cool and exciting...the spark was ignited. I have a passion for learning, science, nature and people.
I am committed to helping to "democratize" science, because I believe that just like art, music and movies, one should not have to be a scientist to enjoy and appreciate science. Science IS for everyone.

My guest today is Robin Korth, an international speaker, writer and businesswoman. She describes herself as a renegade and an outlaw.
After years of doing life as she was “supposed to,” Korth walked away and began doing life from deep inside. She captures her experience in her book Soul on the Run (Balboa Press 2014), her courageously honest exploration of the power and joy that living is meant to be.
Today I'll talk with Robin about the power of being uncomfortable and how it is a gift and invitation from your soul to pay attention.

Do you work too hard for too long and without any support? Than this show is for you! All too often those who are in caregiving professions do not have the support that they need in order to take care of themselves. On this show, Jen and Rebecca will discuss the ways in which self-care often takes the back burner for those in ministry and other helping professions, and will demonstrate the ways in which coaching and spiritual direction work to support those who are both preparing for ministry and those who are in it.
Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, Jen and Rebecca discuss issues at the intersection of life, leadership, spirituality, feminism and social justice -- often bringing in the movers and shakers who are transforming ministry and the church. Join them at 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific for this live call-in talk show. To join the conversation, call 646-716-9397.
