Millions of genetically modified mosquitoes could be released in the Florida Keys if British researchers win approval to use the bugs against two extremely painful viral diseases.
Never before have insects with modified DNA come so close to being set loose in a residential U.S. neighborhood.
"This is essentially using a mosquito as a drug to cure disease," said Michael Doyle, executive director of the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District, which is waiting to hear if the Food and Drug Administration will allow the experiment.

Conover U: Special Guest Dave Bray - Madison Rising!

    in Politics

Tonight we are excited to welcome Dave Bray, lead singer of Madison Rising, America’s most patriotic rock band! Madison Rising is on a mission to reignite authentic American culture through great rock music and is well known for their incredible arrangement of The Star Spangled Banner.

Their most recent album, American Hero, is dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces. It includes the emotional song, Soldier's Christmas.

Madison Rising is often requested to perform for our troops and veterans. The logistical costs involved are not always available for these groups. The Madison Rising Shows For Heroes initiative is designed to help defray these costs and enable them to perform for those who deserve it the most, the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom. We ask you to please donate to this important cause!

Join Rodney Lee Conover. Joe the Plumber and Scott Osborn as we take a (sometimes comedic, sometimes serious) look at politics, current events, the state of the Union, and the current climate between establishment politics and the grassroots, and all the issues of the day!

As always, Jennifer Kabbany - editor of The College Fix – who will talk about the absolute crazy stuff college kids are being taught.

And don't miss this weeks discussion with Dr. Mark Braunstien,  Family Practice doctor for 24 years.
