Welcome to Late Night in the Word, a radio production of Olive Branch Ministries, Olive Branch International Communications, and www.olivebranchonline.org. Thank you for listening. Our program is focused on the Hebraic connections and roots which are in the Old Testament Holy Scriptures that established the revelation of Jesus the Messiah and His Kingdom in the New Testament. In these last days, it is so important to know and understand for yourself what the Bible is saying. We don't try to establish theology, we just focus on what the scriptures on saying and how they interconnect to form a beautiful tapestry of Heavenly revelation.
Call or text in for questions or comments and even for prayer needs. Shalom, Shalom!!
We will have a late start to service because we will be watching Fireproof -- the movie and follow with a discussion. Join in on the discussion! You can watch the movie with us on Netflix! It is going to be awesome!
"The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli returns. However, this is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing back to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" of sports at its best.
This week is a special epsiode of The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab, as at 10pm, he welcomes Kansas City Royals legend Willie Mays Aikens into the lab. Aikens was once one of the most feared hitters of the late 1970' and early 1980's with the Royals, helping lead Kansas City to the AL pennant in 1980. However, drugs overcame him, and he ended up in prison for almost 20 years. However, since his release in 2008, Aikens has has spoken at schools about his experiences and to the Royals’ young players, always hoping to return to baseball. In November 2008, apologized to Royals fans and the people of Kansas City in the Kansas City Star. In 2011, he returned to the Royals Family in the organization, and has since wrote a book about his rise, fall and rebirth "Safe At Home". As an extra added attraction, JP Muzio, former host of The Sports Ministry and Off The Wall, will be joining me on the interview.
Also appearing this week - 1030pm, Andrew Garda of NJ.com and Bleacher Report to talk some New Jersey college sports (Rutgers, Seton Hall and more); 11pm, Derek Helling of Outside Pitch MLB returns to preview the American League West; 1130pm, Matt Zemek of The Student Section to talk some NCAA Basketball and a Preview to March Madness.
The beacons are lit, the experiments are set, and "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab" is open for study!!!

Last week, Dr. Budweiser, founder of Weiser Living, began discussing the dangers of conventional sugar, artificial sweeteners and even some natural sweeteners that are being touted as "healthy" even by many in the natural health community. He revealed the truth about what the sugar and artificial sweetener industry giants do not want you to know and how many of these sugars are secretly hidden in your daily foods.
There is a lot of confusion and misinformation out there on which sugars and sweeteners are the healthy options and which ones are never to be consumed. Today he will continue this discussion, set the record straight and go into more detail about the individual sweeteners! He will also delve deeper into the health issues that follow the consumption of sugars and sweeteners.
To recap the sugars he will cover:
The Bad Guys
Sugar & GMO
Aspartame, Sucralose, High Fructose Corn Syrup and other artificial sweeteners
The Good Guys (Pros and Cons)
How sugar and other sweeteners wreak havoc in your body.
All this and much, much more!
So be sure to put aside 30 minutes to learn about the sweet lies that are ruining your health with Dr. Budweiser.
