Awake 2 Oneness Radio with Dr. Larry Dossey live on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 7:00 EDT. Larry Dossey, M.D. deeply rooted in the scientific world, has become an internationally influential advocate of the role of the mind in health and the role of spirituality in healthcare.
Bringing the experience of a practicing internist and the soul of a poet to the discourse, Dr. Larry Dossey offers panoramic insight into the nature and the future of medicine. Dr. Dossey helped establish the Dallas Diagnostic Association, the largest group of internal medicine practitioners in that city, and was Chief of Staff of Medical City Dallas Hospital in 1982.
An education steeped in traditional Western medicine did not prepare Dr. Dossey for patients who were blessed with "miracle cures," remissions that clinical medicine could not explain. "Almost all physicians possess a lavish list of strange happenings unexplainable by normal science," says Dr. Dossey. "A tally of these events would demonstrate, I am convinced, that medical science not only has not had the last word, it has hardly had the first word on how the world works, especially when the mind is involved."
Larry author of nine books and numerous articles, Dr. Dossey is the former Executive Editor of the peer-reviewed journal Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, the most widely subscribed-to journal in its field. The primary quality of all of Dr. Dossey's work is scientific legitimacy, with an insistent focus on "what the data show."

THE LAKERS MAYBE BETTER THAN YOU THINK-REBROADCAST FROM 10-11-2014
The Laker Gurl has been a little quiet lately. Maybe it's because BASKETBALL practice is in it's early season, and people are wondering WHAT their Lakers are going to do. Will Kobe get some "play" time? If he decides not to play this season, and I haven't heard that yet, but will he become a LAKERS FIXTURE in the front office? He motivates the team when he's in health, driven like few I've ever seen - can he take that skill to the court as a manager? He would look good on the sidelines, getting the team to hustle. I'm not a LAKERS fan, but I do know the traditional of WIN that organization has, no question - What will be the future for L.A. B Ball, cept the Clippers - what you DO THINK STEPHANIE??? 347-205-9366 #WWLG4L #JKN #EVERYTHINGLAKERS

Don't miss it!
Many times, as moviegoers, we look for films that our favorite actors are being showcased in as the leading role. But what happens when that very actor is upstaged? This week we'll be discussing that actual scenario. Two actors who's performances literally stole the show in the scenes with their respective leads! The two actors are Don Cheadle and Jude Law. Our focus will be on the movies Devil In A Blue Dress, starring Denzel Washington (with Don Cheadle) and Road To Perdition, starring Tom Hanks (with Jude Law). Please join A Reel Point Of View's film critics, host Greg Morgan (Reel Movie Guy), co-host Larry Domkowski (Must See Movies) and co-host Karen D (The Movie Maven) in this conversation about the "taking of ones thunder" so to speak!
Our show will be broadcast live on Blog Talk Radio and from 11:00 pm until 11:30 pm EDT, then continuing our conversation on Google Hangouts On Air from 11:30 pm-ish until 12:00 am-ish EDT...

Where does one begin with a vocalist of this ability - and magnitude? Are they the same in the case of Indra Rios-Moore? Born in the Lower East Side of New York, Indra's Puerto Rican Mom (who named her after a Hindu deity of sky and rain) would keep her indoors. She was afraid of the dangers OUTSIDE. So, little Indra would entertain herself with Mom's vast collection of Rock, Soul and Jazz - that latter, we're supposing, partly influenced by Indra's Dad. Of African-American/Syrian descent - a Jazz bassist: Donald Moore.
Through her teen years, Indra found herself in fascinating evolution. She had truly been fearful of being on stage - and she was working through that. Also, because of the early promise that Indra had shown regarding her talent, she was studying classical arias - as well as American Folk songs at camp. Combined with what was already immersed as inspiration as a child, her inner repertoire expanded.
At 26, she met Danish Jazz saxophonist, Benjamin Traerup. A year later, they were married and living in Denmark. And Indra's career began to take shape. Benjamin and his transplanted wife formed a trio - with bassist, Thomas Sejthen. The attention that they received translated into accolades, nominations, and then a gift: the Danish Music Award for Best Jazz Vocal. Three albums later, Indra is continuing to receive praise. Her voice and the Hybrid sensibility that has always been part of her soul couldn't have arrived at a better time.
When you hear "Heartland", you will hear the echoes of the past (Motown and Pink Floyd). You'll hear multiple languages. And you'll feel Church. As Indra has said: singing helps her move to an emotional place "where the mind doesn't interfere."
