Make sure you join Lamont, Eugene and Mr. Cee as they'll dedicate the whole show to the Milwaukee Bucks. What are your expectations of Jabari Parker, who the Bucks selected with the #2 overall pick in last week's NBA Draft. Also, what are your expecations for new Bucks head coach Jason Kidd? Did Larry Drew deserve to be fired, and how do you feel about the way it was handled? Call in and let your voice be heard! You don't want to miss this show, which should be filled with lots of arguing between Lamont and Eugene while Mr. Cee remains neutral!
Happy July everyone!
Tonight, we reflect back on Scott and Jake's two years as a podcast, one year with Bucky's 5th Quarter: where we came from, what we're doing right now, and what's ahead!
We'll discuss the Milwaukee Brewers' rough stretch this past week against the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cincinnati Reds, and how they'll shape up against the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals this week.
Plus, the Milwaukee Bucks formally brought on Jason Kidd as head coach this week. How much of an upgrade is Kidd over Larry Drew, and can former Wisconsin Badgers Ben Brust and Jordan Taylor make a big enough impact on the Bucks' summer league roster to warrant a training camp invitation?
Football's just a few weeks away. Can you feel the excitement
Another amazing show on tap tonight~
We'll play our conversation with former Wisconsin Badgers tight end Jake Pedersen. How does it feel to have four other former Badgers as teammates on the Atlanta Falcons, and how will he use his undrafted free agent status as motivation for training camp in a month? He tells us!
Plus, it's been an eventful weekend for the Milwaukee Bucks. Ushering in second overall draft pick Jabari Parker to the Milwaukee community, there's now rumors of Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd joining the Bucks as possible President of Basketball Operations. What is going on in the Bucks front office, and what does it mean for John Hammond and Larry Drew?
Not to mention Milwaukee Brewers talk, and the United States is now headed for elimination soccer in the World Cup!
Richard Street's Temptations/ Larry Johnson - Exclusive Interview - Wednesday, July 30 2014 - 5pm PST
Richard Allen Street (October 5, 1942 – February 27, 2013) was an American soul and R&B singer, most notable as a member of Motown vocal group The Temptations from 1971 to 1993. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Street was the first member of the Temptations to actually be a native of the city which served as Motown's namesake and hometown; all of the previous members were born and at least partially raised in the southern United States.Street was the lead singer of an early Temptations predecessor, Otis Williams & the Distants, and takes the spotlight on their local hit "Come On". The Distants also included future Temptations Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, and Elbridge "Al" Bryant, who left The Distants and their record deal with Johnnie Mae Matthews' Northern Records to form The Elgins (later The Temptations) with Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams. After their departure, Matthews had Street briefly lead a new Distants group in the early 1960s.During the mid-1960s, Street performed with a Motown act called The Monitors, who had only one minor hit, 1966's "Greetings (This is Uncle Sam)", to its name. They also had a big hit in 1965 called "Say You" which the Temptations included on one of their albums.Street knew the Temptations and Otis Williams, in particular, having worked for Motown in quality control and through his vocal work with the Distants and the Monitors. By the late-1960s, Street was being called upon to travel with The Temptations and sing Paul Williams' parts from off-stage, while Paul Williams, who suffered from both alcoholism and sickle-cell disease, danced and lip-synched onstage. Street officially replaced Paul Williams in mid-1971, after both he and Eddie Kendricks left the group.

This is an exciting week in Louisville, when two very different events arrive in the city that have a lot to offer.
One is a huge one, FandomFest, where thousands and thousands will flock to the Kentucky International Convention Center downtown to see all kinds of tv and movie celebrities, a film festival, all kinds of cosplay, and there's even a book-themed track of panels, directed by a co-host of the Star Chamber Show, Stephen Zimmer!
The other event rolling into the 'Ville this weekend is the 3rd Annual Business of Writing International Summit, which offers a more intimant, workshop-driven atmosphere for authors interested in the business side of the writing world.
This week's show will feature a couple of the founders of these events, live! We will be speaking with author/consultant Peggy DeKay at the beginning of the show about the Business of Writing International Summit. Then, the maverick himself, Ken Daniels of FandomFest will be calling in live to talk about all the fun happening downtown.
We at the Star Chamber Show love to support events both larger and smaller scale, and this show will celebrate an example of each, with both taking place this weekend in Louisville, Kentucky!
Be sure to tune in at 9pm EST on Wednesday to get the full scoop on an exciting weekend just ahead!
