Does the essence of business require our creativity in order for the business to thrive? Do you use your creativity in your job? If not, why don't you think creatively in your work? Have you ever thought of what your essence is? If so, how are you using that essence (thinking) in your every day life.
Our goal for this podcast is to create discussion and resources for business owners to work together to find best practices and take a proactive approach to making business success.
History repeats itself -- if we let it. How many times have you heard "businesses fail within the first 3 years"? Many businesses fail within the first couple of years (or months), because issues like these have not been addressed:
A. How well do you know the business/product/service that you plan to provide?
B. How much experience do you have (have you worked in that business before)?
C. How much money is required for initial investment and reinvestment in the coming years?
D. What will be your source of income for the next 3 years (do not expect to draw a salary during that time)?
Join our discussion! Let's make a business success!
During Empower Half Hour we'll talk about proactive things each of us can easily do to make our businesses, and -- in general -- every day better. We'll motivate and empower ourselves and each other. The whole idea in this podcast is people helping people and collaboration equals success. We're all in this together!
Empower Half Hour is made possible by the Time to Play Foundation, Inc., a not for profit 501c3 corporation with the mission and purpose to enrich the lives of others through programs, public awareness outreach activities, events and learning opportunities that further the concept of enjoying life. I find often in the business world, people tend to develop multiple personalities. There is the business persona, and then there is their true self. And while sometimes these two personalities meld, often times, they do not.
Being true and authentic is becoming a rarity in a world of plastic and falsehood. My guest, Shai Ford, can tell you that being your true self can get you much farther in life and business than putting on a “fake” persona from 9-5.
Using todays technology to grow your business. Jack Humphrey and Gina Gaudio-Graves discuss the changes in technology, blab, periscope and youtube and how to connect with your audience using leverage!

Take Action Get Profits Radio with Michele Scism and Her Guest Jim Hohl and Lucas Garvin and 2nd guest John Polish:
Jim Hohl - FOUNDER & CEO
Jim has been in marketing in some capacity since 1996. He has since worked on 100s of campaigns for businesses ranging in size from United Nations, Cushman & Wakefield and Subway Restaurants to local shops and restaurants and solo business owners, as well as several non-profits. He enjoys learning and challenging himself whenever he can and sees building marketing campaigns as solving a problem – the problem of how to get your message to the right people and how to get them to want to buy.
Lucas Garvin - FOUNDER & CMO
Instead of following the usual path, Lucas has carved his own. At the age of 13, he founded his first business, SEO PRO, to offer his unique marketing talents to local businesses in his hometown of Savannah, GA. After racking up an impressive roster of local business clients (and graduating high school), he decided to up the ante – moving to NYC to co-found the digital agency Visify instead of going to college.
John Polish inspires others to pick themselves up out of the wreckage of life, move forward in faith, and take advantages of opportunities to find happiness. John learned to look at life from a new perspective, and move from a crappy life to a happy life, after suffering from loss of his only child, his daughter Abigail, who passed away after two days. John Polish is now an internationally recognized author, award winning motivational speaker, radio talk show host, the creator of the Personal Happiness Graph and founder of Finding Your Happiness – PRA$E Personal Development.
