Warrior Talk Radio with GI Jenn & Lance Taylor will be discussion the Confederate Flag issue, the VA Comedy hour (yeah... we are sharing the most outrageous VA stories) and then we will be talking with Carmelo Rodriguez from Veterans Transition.
Jenn and Lance will discuss the recent call for the Confederate Flag to be banned, along with the historical statutes and memorials. We invite those opposed and supporting the ban to discuss. Then we will be sharing some off the wall situations we have experienced. Our listeners are invited to call in and share their stories, as well!
Carmelo Rodriguez works with the Veterans Transition/vetdocseries on FB. He started to film a reality show series about the transition from military life to civilian and all the struggles that's comes with it. He is a veteran who served in the U.S. Army for about 5 years. Carmelo was medically discharged because of an injury sustained while deployed. He served as a Calvary Scout team leader, ending his career on funeral honors detail. He went through similar issues our other veterans have faced, including divorce, alcohol abuse, nightmares, unemployment, and foreclosure.
Carmelo started this reality show series because he wanted our vets to know that they are not alone, as well as, allowing our communities to see and understand what vets are really going through. If done properly, he believes his show will not only bring the problems to light but will also bring a solution to fix them. His over all goal is to bring this show to a mainstream network because we are a huge community and I want the rest of America to see that all of our veterans are not "crazy" or "homeless". Some of our guys just need more help then others. I want to identify who we are, what we are doing and how we are helping each other.

The Golden State Warriors are the 2014-15 NBA champions!
On Tuesday night, Stephen Curry and the Dubs ended a 40-year championship drought, earning the Warriors' fourth NBA title in franchise history.
Andre Iguodala, who was inserted into the Warriors' starting lineup prior to Game Four of the series, claimed Finals MVP honours, posting averages of 16.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 4 APG.
*Sigh* The off-season is upon us... However, on a more positive note, the 2015 NBA Draft is less than a week away!
The Minnesota Timberwolves currently hold the first overall pick in next Thursday's draft.
A pair of highly touted big men headline this year's draft class. Will Karl-Anthony Towns be the first to hear his name called on draft day, or will Jahlil Okafor march onto the stage and have the honours of being the first draftee to pose for photos with commissioner Adam Silver?
Meanwhile, in the "Great White North", Canada Basketball's U16 Men's National Team returned home earlier this week after a successful trip to the U16 FIBA Americas in Argentina. The young Canucks finished second in the tournament, capturing a silver medal after being defeated by a star-studded United States squad in the Gold Medal Game.

•Somber reaction to the recent tragedy in Charleston,South Carolina. Plus the gang goes into the weekend with their shoutouts.
Please join us Sunday 10AM CST as we discuss white allies, their role(s), inclusion vs. accommodation, having our own safe spaces, eurocentrism, and much more.
We, as a nation, need to confront and address a number of issues. The black community needs allies, not enemies, or white people replacing us. The erasure of black women by eurocentrism and black men needs to be addressed and rectified. Black women and girls matter.
Additionally, the massacre in Charleston has caught the attention of the world. We must not allow the conversation to be derailed by focusing it on the Confederate flag. The conversation should focus on racism, white supremacy, institutionalized racism, education, incarceration, economic viability, and more.
We will take some time at the beginning of the podcast to talk about Rhodesia and our role in a country now known as Zimbabwe.

The world mourns the loss of the nine slain members of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Susie Jackson, Tywanza Sanders, Cynthia Hurd, The Rev. DePayne Middleton Doctor, The Rev. Clements Pinckney, Ethel Lance, Myra Thompson, The Rev. Daniel Simmons and Sharonda Coleman-Singleton must first and foremost be remembered for the brilliance of their spirits and lives and their dedication, commitment to and love of their families and their community.
We mourn the tragic loss of their lives and the loss of what their lives would have continued to contribute if not for this heinous act of racist terror. The names of these nine beautiful souls are now added to an immeasurably long list of Black people who have been killed and who will be killed by the pervasive and pestilent hands of white supremacy and structural racism in America.
How does this effect the Black Woman emotionally? Tune in to find out
