LatinoTalk Texas 2014, 0020 Lamenting the loss of Constellation Program

    in Politics

On today's show, the nature and importance of our space programs, its influence on our daily lives, and the importance of the prestige associated with our manned space program as it is the hallmark of a "global power." I explain in the first segment how space program affects our daily lives.  Then I discuss the nature of the Constellation Program and its brilliance as being derived from the Space Shuttle system and how Obama cancelled it abruptly. I also discuss the value of the Moon for developing and testing long duration space flight and habitation and mention the several problems that have happened concerning human factors in space flight aboard both Russian and American spacecraft and how America still has more research to do concerning long duration space flight that would be necessary to go to Mars or an asteroid. It makes more sense to return to the Moon to learn those things rather than rush out to an asteroid or Mars without knowing how to do it successfully. I explain the geniuses who caused the cancellation of the Constellation program, Huntress and Holdren, and why they were wrong. Finally, I discuss the minimal reconstitution of the Constellation Program by Congress in the Space Launch System, called SLS, and its terrible slow roll from Obama and Holden and that rocket and its Orion capsule won't be launched, manned, until the early 2020's and we could be flying NOW if Constellation was left in place.

Mama Mia NO Sharia! with Vito Esposito

    in Politics Conservative

Join us this evening at 6pm est to talk about:

America has a new Czar, just what we need, another layer of bureaucracy a political operative appointed by President Soundbite. Even better, a lobbyist, an evil venture capitalist with no medical background. Dr. Doolittle would have been a better appointment. Ahh the Obama hypocrisy continues!

Is ISIS islamic? We are told no, yet they celebrated one of two muslim holidays Eid al-Adha, as did the other 1 billion muslims around the world, oh yea including the US State Department. What? Christianity is bad, Christmas is bad, National Prayer Breakfast is taboo, yet the Obama Administration celebrates yet another islamic holiday.  Mama Mia NO Sharia!

Sec State John Kerry pledges $212 million of US Taxpayer money to "Rebuild" Gaza. Well we've heard that soundbite before. Since Obama has taken office he's sent $1.3 billion of US Taxpayer money to "Rebuild" Gaza. I guess Mr. Obama thought it was money well spent, the tunnels did turn out well! Sadly so-called mainstream media refuses to connect the dots - Hamas controls Gaza, Hamas is listed as a Terrorist Organization on US State Dept Terror list and POTUS is funding a terrorist organization. Under the simple minds of this administration I'm sure they are lamenting $212 million is a small price as compared to the $5.4 billion pledged to rebuild Gaza. If you buy that, we have some swamp land in Florida for sale!

No Storm Lasts Forever: Transforming Suffering Into Insight

    in Spirituality

No Storm Lasts Forever: Transforming Suffering Into Insight with author Dr. Terry A. Gordon

As a cardiologist, Dr. Terry Gordon dealt with life-and-death circumstances on a daily basis. He learned that life is precious and tenuous; it can change in an instant. Such a dramatic shift occurred when his son, Tyler, was involved in a car accident, sustaining a severe spinal-cord injury that left him paralyzed. Leading his family through the experience, Terry's journey resulted in a spiritual awakening to a clearer understanding of life and the truths it has to offer. Terry has learned that our experiences become calamities only if we make the conscious decision to make tragedies out of them. Rather than lamenting the so-called adversities, we can choose to be grateful for them, embracing them as gifts from the Divine. These gifts provide fertile soil for growth and enlightenment, offering us the opportunity to transform turmoil, disappointment, and suffering into understanding, insight, and resolve . . . and such gifts are presented to you in No Storm Lasts Forever.

One of Terry's missions in life is saving the lives of our most precious resource, our children. After the tragic death of Josh Miller, a 15-year old football player at Barberton High School, Dr. Gordon, as then president of the Summit County Ohio American Heart Association helped to raise the funds to place automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in every junior and high school. His community became the first county of its size in the nation to do so. For his efforts, the American Heart Association named him the National Physician of the Year 2002
