In A Large Room With No Light
You're nice and full, just had dinner, maybe even seconds, topped it off with a little dessert and ready to slip into that tryptophan coma, when SUDDENLY there's a forceful pounding at the door. Who could that be at this late hour. All the guests have gone, don't they know its the holidays? And where is that loud music coming from? You reach for the door when its kicked open!
Standing there with evil grins are Robert Cooper and Jesse Starcher... THE THANKSGIVING METAL HAMMER OF DOOM CREW! But what is it they have on that plate they are holding? Another TURKEY?!? But not just any turkey. This is a very very bad turkey in the form of an album by Celtic
Frost called “Cold Lake.”
First Guest.....Marsha Scarbrough, author of Honey in the River: Shadow, Sex and West African Spirituality discusses with us tonight her personal journey and discovery of the Orishas, Goddess Archetypes of West Africa, all while under the influence of her babalawo, or Yoruban lover who acted as her spiritual leader. We'll talk about her personal soap opera and the growth she gleaned from that tangled relationship, as well as discuss what is Ifa and Ifa voodoo, who are the feminine orishas, the trickster and how Ifa informs our contemporary lives. This is a very heartfelt and candid look at how important it is to look at our own shadow, and in this case, how Marsha was willing to lie and betray other women in order to feel loved. How she, and many women, are in denial about being in abusive relationships and willingly take part in self-sabotaging behavior and allow themselves to be exploited by others in positions of power.
Second Guests.....Phyllis Currott and Angie Buchanan, prominent Pagan movers and shakers involved with planning the Council for the Parliament of World Religions will give us a behind the scenes look at this incredible inter-faith gathering that happened in October 2015 in Salt Lake City, UT, and we'll hear what's ahead for the next Parliament.

Bishop James was born in Louisville, Kentucky and was raised Roman Catholic. He attended a Roman Catholic grade school and it was during the time while he was attending kindergarten that he knew that he had a calling to serve as a priest. His mother had asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and +James pointed at the priest and said, “I want to do what he does.”
From then on, his calling to serve as a priest grew stronger as the years progressed until he decided to join the seminary and begin his formation.
Bishop James attended St. Meinrad College but because of financial problems, the school had to close its doors. Therefore, he transferred to Loyola University in Chicago and graduated.
He continued his priestly studies by joining Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. It was during this time that James began working closely with his spiritual director and through prayer, he decided that God was calling him to serve as a priest within the Independent Catholic Church.
Because of his theological differences with the Roman Catholic Church, James felt that it was better to be ordained within the Independent Catholic Church. This decision was not an easy one and it was a decision that he made out of respect for the Roman Catholic Church and his calling.
He is currently the Archbishop for the United States Old Catholic Church and offers Spiritual and Life help for those who seek his assistance.
