On June 24th, 2015, despite overwhelming opposition from Floridians, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) approved a statewide hunt October 24-30th to kill Florida’s black bears. Though lacking a reliable recent survey of the current bear population, the FWC established a goal of 320 dead bears statewide.
2015 saw Florida’s first state-sanctioned black bear hunt in 21 years. 304 mothers, cubs and adult males were killed in the name of population management.
The FWC is now gathering 2015 data to determine whether to hold another hunt this year.
Bill 1096 was introduced by Senator Darren Soto in the 2016 Florida legislative session. The Florida Black Bear Habitat Restoration Act will secure the future of the Florida Black Bear. Without your support, this bill will not get the priority it deserves!
Please consider contacting your state Senator, https://www.flsenate.gov/Senators/#Senators and urge them to support the Florida Black Bear Habitat Restoration Act 1096 of 2016.

125 years ago you didn’t have to ask permission from the Government to:
• Go fishing
• Collect rain water
• Use a transportation vehicle
• Build a home or renovate it
• You didn’t have to pay tax upon tax, upon tax with already taxed money
• You didn’t have to ask permission (from the government) and pay to get married, obtain licenses, certificates or permits to hunt, own a gun, become a carpenter or any other trade or profession
• You didn’t have to ask permission to protest or redress government, or sell a product or have your income illegally taxed by the 16th Amendment which
WHICH WAS NEVER RATIFIED!
You can virtually do “NOTHING” without being extorted by the Government and obtaining their permission first.
If you still think your “FREE” you are deluding yourself.
You live in an open air prison as free range humans thoroughly manipulated and controlled by the illusion of a free society.

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes debut novelist Dave Pupa to the studio. Dave's debut novel is a psychological thriller (imagine Hannibal meets Seven). His background as a therapist has allowed him to create compelling and fully fleshed out characters with substance. A sequel is currently in the works. This may be the beginning of a series character around FBI profiler Frank Sorello. About the highly rated book: Hurricane Sandy ravages the Jersey Shore while simultaneously providing the backdrop for a horrible crime. A serial killer takes advantage of the night’s ferocity and inflicts his own damage. The madman then disappears leaving a famed F.B.I. agent broken in the process. Frank Sorello retires from the Bureau only to be drawn back into the game after a bestselling novel by a new author raises suspicions about details inside the book. Is the homicidal maniac announcing his return or is it purely a coincidence? The intrigue builds as a young man with an intellect rivaling that of Einstein and Da Vinci is tragically connected to the Bureau’s top agent. As the investigation is renewed, the murders begin once again. While the mystery unravels no one is truly safe; neither the gated communities of Hollywood nor the hallowed grounds of an Ivy League University provide refuge from what lies waiting in the shadows. The suspense mounts as the hunt gets ever more personal when the agent’s current romantic interest becomes a target. Sorello vows to put an end to the killer’s reign in this fast paced thriller . . . but the killer has other plans.
