The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Kym Whitley From “Raising Whitley” ON The Oprah Winfrey Network
About “Raising Whitley”:
“Raising Whitley" is a humorous, poignant docu-series following actress and comedienne Kym Whitley and her riotous collective of friends – whom she calls "The Village” – as they attempt to do something none of them have ever done before: raise a child…together. The Village bands together to help Kym bring up Joshua the best they know how, but sometimes it's hard to tell who is more mature – Joshua or the adults tasked with raising him.
About “Young & Hungry”:
Listen 24/7 to Don Peters who served in the US Army as a Military Intelligence Linguist in Central/South America until his service connected spinal cord injury in 1996. Don is Executive Director of Not Forgotten Outreach with Gold Star Widow and Army Veteran Kym Sanchez. Don talks about Taos Ski Valley week-long event, the Military Respite Center and how other Veteran organizations around the Nation can utilize the AmeriCorps NCCC teams to help Military Families.

Tonight's special guest is Kym Harmony Tracy from Robinson, Illinois, a returning NAASCA family member who's a survivor and activist and an Inspirational Christian speaker. "For most of my life I've have heard, 'but you seem so normal.' Well, I'm far from normal. As a matter of fact, I call my life a beautiful mess," says Kym. "And then, just when I thought I could no longer take it, when I felt I couldn't even breathe, God entered my life at just the right time." Kym reports, "I have experienced many things from most all forms of [sexual] mental, physical and emotional abuse as well as divorce and dysfunctional relationships." She was in the second grade when she was first molested. At 9 she was abused by a babysitter and at 16, still a virgin, she was date-raped by her then boyfriend. Kym says, "Since we last spoke I decided I really needed to get down to the rawness of my wounds. I felt to really feel that true pain I needed to revisit the places that the monsters changed my life for ever." She goes on, "I went back to childhood places of attacks. I spoke with my rapist. I confronted my abusive father. I gained much more insight as to my purpose and what God has planted in my heart." She concludes, This past year has been a whirlwind of emotions and some have physically tried to stop me from speaking out. I AM READY TO ROAR!"

Have you ever heard the phrase, I may forgive but I will never forget. Usually the person saying this goes on and on about how if they forget it may repeat itself in their life. Forgiveness is for YOU not the other person. You are not implying that the action was right or wrong, just or unfair you are choosing to forgive.
Our expert Kym Kennedy will help understand this most valuable tool we can utilize in our daily life. What is Radical Forgiveness? Why does it have to say radical? Can't I simply forgive someone? You really want to listen in on this conversation. As one who personally thought she had done all the forgiving she ever needed let me tell you this is REAL STUFF!! It goes deeper than anything I have ever been exposed to, its gets down to the gut or core of the issue at hand.
Kym is a gem in facilitating this material. She is passionate about the work she does out in the global world and governs herself accordingly. Kym is a seasoned professional who simply smiles when your response is that you have no one or nothing to forgive. At least she did that with me!!
Tune in and be enlightened. Perhaps there is something needing your forgiveness.
We would like to aplogize to ALL of you who tuned in to the live broadcast and podcast of this episode of Real 2 Real. There were some tech issues that took place preventing us from moving on with the show...

Save The Kids Radio HipHop Power Hour Commemorating Black August!
Black August originated in the California penal system to honor fallen Freedom Fighters, Jonathan Jackson, George Jackson, William Christmas, James McClain and Khatari Gaulden. Jonathan Jackson was gunned down outside the Marin County California courthouse on August 7, 1970 as he attempted to liberate three imprisoned Black Liberation Fighters: James McClain, William Christmas and Ruchell Magee. Ruchell Magee is the sole survivor of that armed liberation attempt. He is the former co-defendant of Angela Davis and has been locked down for 38 years, most of it in solitary confinement. George Jackson was assassinated by prison guards during a Black prison rebellion at San Quentin on August 21, 1971. Three prison guards were also killed during that rebellion and prison officials charged six Black and Latino prisoners with the death of those guards. These six brothers became known as the San Quentin Six.
