Episcopacy 201 - Bishops, Dioceses and Fellowships

    in Religion

Church government is called church polity.  Polity is where we get the word politics from.  Episcopal government involves a certain type of church structure.  Congregational autonomy is opposed to episcopal polity.

The Fellowship model is about associating and not about being submitted.  You come and go as you please. You do what you want.  If this one make you mad you leave and start your own with its own protocol.

A diocese by definition is a local church made up of multiple congregations  It is pastored by the Bishop.  Each parish or campus church is submitted to the bishop as their senior pastor and each campus church is not the local church but an expression of the local church

American woman Sharon Derrington stands her ground

    in Politics Conservative

I love my America and would do what I can to save her from decay.  I am just an average woman who helps patrol the Texas Mexico border to help keep illegals from crossing the Rio Grande.  There are many nationalities who try to come here illegally. I attend as many protests as I am able to show my disconcern with what is happening in my country. Closing the border is number one on my list

Our children’s schools teach them about the victims in our nation to the exclusion of the heroes who sacrificed their families, homes, and lives to secure our freedom. College professors disparage the very idea of American exceptionalism, and our nation’s elite scoff at the idea of our reliance on God for maintaining this nation’s greatness. How can we, as parents and role models, instill in children a true and vibrant sense of patriotism?

Resistance was another option for loyalist women. In 1779, three women—Margaret Inglis, Susannah Robinson, and Mary Morris—plotted to kidnap the mayor of Albany. Others encouraged friends to refuse to take the loyalty oath to new governments. Most of the women who actively supported the Crown participated by aiding loyalist soldiers or by collecting information for the British. Some loyalist women hid their husbands from arrest, while others hid important papers or money from authorities. These acts raised questions about the autonomy of the political commitment of these women: were their actions from wifely loyalty, or evidence of independent political choice?

Some of those things will be how to have sustainable living and independent resources, which are required in order to live off of the grid. These things that will be discussed today is necessary for exercising true autonomy and true independence, in efforts to wean ourselves off of the dependency of the U.S. government. We would like you to call in and add to the conversation on how we could collectively move forward independently, under one nation, the Yamassee Tribe of Native Americans, the United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors.

John Carver Show - Psychology and Self Motivation (Scott Geller)

    in Self Help

In his self-motivation talk, Scott Geller explores how we can inspire and empower ourselves to go beyond the call of duty.

Geller begins by asking three simple questions: Can we do it? Will it work? And finally, is it worth it? Answering "yes" to all three questions indicates that we feel competent, a quality which is likely to lead to higher self-motivation.

Geller follows the question of competency with another C-word: choice. Those who feel like they have more autonomy will become more self-motivated. When we work for a pleasant consequence, we are more likely to feel as though we are working towards something. On the other hand, when we are working to avoid a negative consequence, we are more likely to feel controlled and limited. Geller encourages us to be mindful of the choices and opportunity we have available to us, ultimately becoming "success-seekers" rather than "failure-avoiders."
