Dealing with current issues that effect our society as a whole the absence of a father. Kendell J. Smith is a 25 years old and an extremely proud Father of his 11 month old son Elijah Smith. His biological father left his mother just before his birth. His Mom took him to school with her, to work with her, and made sure he had food, clothes, and a home. Kendell's step-father came into my life when he was about 5 and has treated him as his own ever since. He has never called him his "step-son" nor has he treated him as one. Kendell is a product of 2 parents who taught him how to be a man and take care of his responsibilities. He played college football as a Quarterback at NCCU. He aims to make positive changes not only in the African American community, but in society as a whole. Kendell is the co-founder of StayStrong365 and their mission is to remind everyone to keep pushing through life's trials with Strength, Courage, and Devotion.
We want to welcome you to another sermon that was preached at the Restoration of Pentecost revival that was held this year here in Tennessee. As you heard in this song we are lifiting up the name of Jesus in word and deed on our show. We promise you that this will not be a boring sermon tonight. Many of you may think that you have found a old radio station with one of those hard nosed preachers like you've heard of, or maybe had the chance to hear as a child. If you are not blessed by what you hear tonight, then you need to take down your umbrella and allow some of this latter rain fall on you. This message is shorter then some that we've played in the past, but just as powerful. As always, we want to offer you the oppertunity to help bless the Kingdom of GOD. We have been telling people for several weeks now how they can make a donation to help build a church in the city of Nolensville, TN. I promise that you cannot outgive GOD! You can send your offerings in care of Wild Bill, 2709 Tallow Trace, Spring Hill, TN 37174. Make your check payable to, "The Sanctuary ". Dont forget that we welcome your comments or questions on all of our shows. All you have to do is push the number 1 on your phone. You will be identified by the last four digits of your phone number.
This week on JetNation Radio we will discuss the recent roster cuts as the Jets released several players to get down to the league mandated 75 player limit. Our hosts Brandon Dowling and Joe Blewett give updates on who is in and who is out. The cuts mean that the Jets have a new punt returner in Jalen Saunders and a new kickoff returner in Saalim Hakim. The final set of cuts will happen on Saturday so there will be plenty of roster talk.
Joe and Brandon will also take your calls and look at what we learned about the Jets so far this preseason. We want to hear from you, tell us what you think about the Dimitri Patterson situation and how Geno Smith and the offense looked against the Giants.
Let's Talk Jets hosts Tyson Rauch (@TRauch21) and Dennis Agapito will break down the team's preseason game against the NY Giants.
They will also be discussing CB Dimitri Patterson, who decides to leave the team without informing them, which has led to a suspension. Were the Jets attempting to trade WR Stephen Hill this offseason and can they move him before final cuts? Players on the roster bubble who will need a strong performance on Thursday as the Jets play there last preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Phone lines will be open (929-477-2651), so call in and talk about our New York Jets. The conversation is also live on Twitter (@TalkJetsRadio).
