Wife, mother, tea guru, martial artist, radio host, and writer (not necessarily in that order, she would add), Kori Miller of "Kori Miller Writes" stops by the Loft to discuss writing, blogging, podcasting, and more.
Writing short stories and creative non-fiction for a diverse audience, and especially for children and young adults, is one of her passions. Kori Miller Writes is a great source of useful information for creative writers and podcasters, and has been nominated, in its prior blog form, for a myriad of awards, such as the Liebster Blog Award, Versatile Blogger Award, and Sunshine Award.
Her podcast, Back Porch Writer, “The show for writers, about writers, and writing,” airs live each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. CST from Fremont, Nebraska, on Blog Talk Radio.
The Liebster Loft theme is "K-Eyes" by RHO
Hugh Howey and others released their new author earning report titled: The Tenured vs. Debut Author Report. You can read it here.
There's quite a bit of interesting, and eye-ooening information included. Kori highlights a few of their findings in today's episode.

Rev. Glencie Rhedrick is joined by Kristin Cabral on Women: Change Agents.
Kristin Cabral joined the PDA national board in 2013; she is an attorney-activist in Virginia. She has fought for voting rights and fair elections, including seeking to enfranchise people with past felony convictions and helping the Democratic Party with its election protection program in a state of often close elections. She was the Democrat for the U.S. House in 2012 in the swing DC suburbs of Virginia, doing unexpectedly well against an entrenched Republican incumbent on barely any time or money but with an intense field campaign that engaged the grassroots. Kristin, one of the first girls to desegregate Little League in 1974, is a lifetime advocate for women's equality, working with a number of organizations like NOW -VA, and she is from a union family and a supporter of workers. She is one of the first graduates of Head Start and put herself through college (Michigan) and law school (Harvard). Her concerns include the need for a working families agenda which pays heed to childcare issues and student loan debt -- both of which she herself has experienced.
A global study done by Dove claims that only 10% of women feel proud of their curls. For years, women have been resorting to hair straighteners and chemicals to alter their natural curls and kinky textures to achieve that sleek, red carpet look. But how do their men feel? We will talk to a panel of men who are privy to the new natural hair movement and the International Keep it Kinky Day on February 21. We'll get inside the heads of NY real estate agent Tony Harris, media executive Kori Raishon, chef and business owner Damian Perrin and hair stylist London Free to discuss their style, beauty and hair preferences in women.
Talk radio host managing editor of NEWD Magazine Tiffani Knowles and Crystal Dundas will gab about trends, music, faith and much more for this half-hour show.
