Many people believe the Black Panthers were an militant group that believed in killing those that killed African Americans.
Some people would have us believe the panthers were on the same level as the Ku Klux Klan.
Today we will discuss exactly what the panthers actually stood for before the government decided they were a militant group.
So come join us for great conversation here on LETS TALK.
This was one very interesting show. We discussed what is the Klans agenda these days. We rarely see them at public rallies anymore, but we understand they definitely still exist. They contend they are taking their fight to the courthouse, and are more interested in creating voting blocks across the country than burning crosses in black peoples yards. My guests were Travis Pierce the current national membership director of the Ku Klux Klan LLC as well as an ex-imperial wizard for the KKK,
My guest on today's show is Kristin Kuhns Alexandre, the creator of the television series Gem City based on her graphic novel Nuncio and the Gypsy Girl in the Gilded Age
She will join us to chat about that as well as her new novel Gem City Gypsy.
The period between post-adolescence and adulthood – that time known as “coming of age” – can often be painful and confusing. For Neci Stans, a 19-year-old gypsy girl in pre-World War I Dayton, Ohio, the stakes are raised as she experiences first-hand an historic tragedy at sea and deadly bigotry at home.
In Kristin Kuhns Alexandre’s new novel GEM CITY GYPSY, Neci’s harrowing journey of self-discovery includes surviving the sinking of the Lusitania, witnessing the brutal murder of her master and mentor Lord Pool and facing down the ever-menacing Ku Klux Klan.

Marcus Garvey RISE Up BLACK Men RISE-UP!
Marcus Garvey is one of the most contradictory and enigmatic figures in American history, both visionary and manipulative, a brilliant orator and a pompous autocrat. He was a strong advocate of black self-help and unity among people of African descent, yet was willing to collaborate with the Ku Klux Klan. He inspired African Americans to support his economic enterprises with their hard-earned money, yet lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the mismanagement of those schemes.Marcus Garvey: Look For Me in the Whirlwind, the first comprehensive documentary to tell the life story of this controversial leader, uses a wealth of material from the Garvey movement-written documents, film and photographs-to reveal what motivated a poor Jamaican to set up an international organization for the African diaspora, what led to his early successes, and why he died lonely and forgotten. Among the most powerful sequences in the film are articulate, fiery interviews with the men and women whose parents joined the Garvey movement more than 80 years ago. Together they reveal how revolutionary Garvey's ideas were to a new generation of African Americans,West Indians and Africans and how he invested hundreds of thousands of black men and women with a new-found sense of racial pride.

Why do you need a license to conduct business...does the person you receive you license from have a license to conduct business? Where did they get their permission from to conduct business from? Who is at the head of the chain of Authority to give you permission to conduct business?
