It's that time again. Join Kleft Jaw staff members Gabriel Ricard and Frankie Met for another season two episode of Kleftikos Radio. This time, we're going to sit down with KJ contributor Seth Elkins. There's no question that Seth is going to read us some of his extraordinary work, as well as talk to us about some of the stuff he has coming up through Kleft Jaw Press. However, if you know what this show is all about, then you already know that we tend to cover a considerably strange assortment of territory over the course of each episode. We can promise you reading and conversation from one of the best writers going today, but who the hell knows what else we're going to throw at you?
There might be music, some surprise callers, and Frankie himself may finally share his recipe for egg and pastrami quiche. It's going to be some pretty interesting madness. It's all going to start at 8pm WST/9pm MT/10pm CST/11pm EST. And if you want to join the show, feel free to call in at (347) 857-1652.
We will be talking about the events coming up and try to have someone from Shed Leathers to talk about the Code Party and what all it will lead us all to do want to do and will do. Also will be going more in depth on the Black Party in NYC coming up in March. It is sure to leave a part of your Anatomy in your hands and you Jaw Wide Open.
UNREDACTED with Rachel Marsden: Lifting the black ink to reveal the covert information and intelligence around global events.

Tonight's episode (12/23/15) will focus on the visual art side of KJ #9. Editors will be discussing art curation for the issue, the new push for more comics in the issues/blog, as well as the value of digital editing vs. original imagery and what software programs are out there that could prove useful in the future of KJart.
We'll also be taking calls and with time available, maybe comb through one or two of the Staff Picks (pieces that were not chosen for the online issue but still great pieces nonetheless) from the KJ9 submission pool which will be posted on the blog in Jan 2016?.

Derek Vasconi was raised in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a small town near Pittsburgh, PA. He didn't stay there for very long, as after graduating from high school, he co-founded the metal band, From A Second Story Window, and went on tour for most of his early 20's. In 2006, Derek made the decision to move on from the band and pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development, which he achieved, at Penn State University. After doing this, he went to Japan to live on and off for the next five years, and life has never been the same for him since. Derek has accomplished a myriad of things in his life, including founding a traditional, independent book publishing company, creating an iphone app (eMobo, which brought the Japanese cell phone novels, or "keitai shousetsu," to the Western world), and now, has pursued writing himself. His first book, KAI, showcases Derek's passion for both Japan and horror, as he blends them seamlessly in an unforgettable and jaw-dropping debut book about one girl from Hiroshima who wants to destroy the world. Additionally, Derek is currently working on several more horror novels, and when he's not writing, he spends his time hopelessly devoted to all things otaku, listening to JPOP music, and hanging out with his little daughter and pet cat, Gachapin, who hates all humanity.
