Interview: Todd Willert - Head Coach & Nique Martin -WR (East Forsyth Football)

    in College & High School

Interview with Coach Wilert and Nique Martin of East Forsyth HS just ahead of the Semi Final Match up VS Charlotte Mallard Creek HS this Friday at 7:30pm

    By Kegan Lowe Winston-Salem Journal

KERNERSVILLE — It was billed as one of the most anticipated matchups in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County history — a NCHSAA 4-AA quarterfinal playoff game between two bitter rivals separated only by a short drive down Business 40.

The result was a one-sided affair that saw No. 1 East Forsyth continue its season-long dominance over the rest of the area and defeat No. 5 West Forsyth, 31-6, in front of a capacity crowd at Clarke-Peterson Field in Kernersville.

Just a day removed from Thanksgiving, East Forsyth Coach Todd Willert was still counting his blessings.

Willert registered his 100th career victory at the school with the win over West Forsyth Friday night.

“I am just so thankful for everyone in our program,” Willert said. “From trainers to coaches to administrators to my athletic director — we took over a program 13 years ago and everybody said we would never win at East Forsyth. And for the guys that have been here with me the whole time, this is the 100th victory and we were never supposed to win.”

Both offenses started slowly, with the Titans forced to punt on their first three possessions while gaining one first down.

The Eagles started only marginally better, getting a 22-yard field goal from sophomore Cameron Lischke on their second possession to end the first quarter with a 3-0 lead. East Forsyth is now just two victories away from a NCHSAA 4-AA state championship. The Eagles will host No. 6 Charlotte Mallard Creek next Friday night in the state semifinals   http://www.journalnow.com/sports/prepzone/football/east-forsyth-rolls-in-willert-s-th-win/article_846d70c0-4de5-59d9-a269-c2f66839e157.html

The Getting It In Show: The Neanderthal & Their People

    in Radio

The Neanderthal or Neandertal (named after the Neandertal area) was a species of human in the genus Homo that became extinct between 41,000 and 39,000 years ago. (So they say). They were closely related to MODERN humans, differing in DNA by just 0.12%. Remains left by Neanderthals include bone and stone tools, which are found in Eurasia, from Western Europe to Central and Northern Asia and the Middle East. The Neanderthal is generally classified by biologists as the species Homo neanderthalensis, but a minority considers them to be a subspecies of Homo sapiens (Homo sapiens neanderthalensis). Several cultural assemblages have been linked to the Neanderthals in Europe. The earliest, the Mousterian stone tool culture, dates to about 300,000 years ago. Late Mousterian artifacts were found in Gorham's Cave on the south-facing coast of Gibraltar. Please vibe with us as we show you how the very race that tried to keep us down actually are cave animals and their people we uncivilized to the point were Blacks had to show them how to bath, eat and live. Find out who the cave people are and what were they doing in those caves. Whats there true nature and where are they now?

power of perception writers with Tina Panariello

    in Spirituality

New York Daily News said: “Life She’s Nailed It”. Tina Panariello says “I Just Did It”. No matter how she is described Tina Panariello is one gutsy woman. She was born and raised until she was 11 years old on the lower East side of Manhattan and was forced to move to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. As most little girls, she was a daydreamer. She dreamed of becoming a dancer, a beautician, and believe it or not, even a surgeon. Moving to Brooklyn was a big transformation that prepared her for what was yet to come.

Prior to owning Nail Artistry by Tina, she owned an in-home jewelry business and always dressed up her nails with beautiful polish designs which she offered all the hostesses, as a gift, for giving her a jewelry party. Tina expanded on that and with two clients, one nipper, one file and three bottles of polish started doing nails house to house, and in her home for two days, always dreaming of one day having her own salon.

Several years later, with monetary help from her parents, her brother Andrew, uncle Richie, and then boyfriend Frank helped her, from scratch, put her dream salon together. Tina, drew up the blueprints, and decorated the entire salon by herself. She is a self-taught nail technician. There were no nail schools at the time, but ten years of learning and attending many beauty shows, with certifications under her belt from being an educator for OPI, she was grandfathered and received her license.

Tina Panareillo, is semi-retired, and still the owner of Nail Artistry by Tina for 32 years, and a nail technician/artist/actor/educator/author, Polished: filing away at life’s truths, motivational speaker, and is an accomplished miniature nail artist.

She is a first and second place World and International Nail Art Champion, adding many other nail art awards. Panariello
