    Pastor Brad will be ministering today from Psalm 18. But he begins speakin from Isaiah 43 where it says, "But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; ...’"

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. Pastor Brad continues to speak from Psalm 18 and proves how God is going to bring you to the other side.

    Laughter is the best medicine.

Debra Norwood, also known as The Laughter Lawyer, got to spend a week in the company of the renowned Patch Adams who is known for his work as a medical doctor and a clown.  He is founder of the Gesundheit! Institute.  He has some interesting views on healing and medicine.

At one point in his life he felt very suicidal and then enetered a mental hospital that changed him.  He wanted to become a medical doctor and help people.

Patch went on to start making his one dream into a reality. He believed that the medical system was twisted and that it cheated poor people. So, he decided that he wanted to build a hospital.  His Gesundheit Institute is not completely perfected, but it is up and running. One person said of the Institute: "There, amongst beautiful mountains, hardwood forests and waterfalls, Gesundheit advocates are constructing a wholistic rural hospital and healthcare community based on the vision of what healthcare should be like. That means patient care where laughter, joy and creativity will be an integral part of the healing process. Healthcare will be provided without cost and doctors will carry no malpractice insurance. Doctors and patients will relate to each other on the basis of mutual trust, and patients will receive plenty of time from their doctors. Allopathic doctors and practitioners of alternative medicine will work side by side."

    Learned Behavior

    in Spirituality

Often we behave in ways that are contrary to our best interests. What makes that so? It's kind of like declaring we're heading out to California, which lies west of us, and getting into a vehicle headed east. Along the way it might dawn on us we have taken action that moves us in the opposite direction of our intended goal so we'll make a course correction. Depending on what behaviors we've learned in our past we make a slight correction, only to discover after many miles that we are now simply headed SE.

     WHAT?!?

Today let's talk about how to catch those 'learned behaviors' that are getting in the way of the Truth! Join us in the conversation.

    Wellness Wednesdays_EP 3 Peppermint

    in Relationships

Peppermint is one of the oldest — and most highly regarded — herbs, and has been used for thousands of years.  It is popular in countless forms, frequently used in toothpaste and chewing gum, for oral health.  Peppermint also helps to alleviate occasional stomach discomfort and promotes healthy respiratory function and clear breathing. 15 mL bottle.

    About peppermint oil:

The Mentha piperita plant is actually a hybrid of watermint and spearmint, and was first described by Carl Linneaus, in 1753.

Peppermint oil was used by the ancient Egyptians and Romans, as well as many other groups, throughout history.  Today, it is very widely used in foods, candies, gums, dental products and cosmetics.  In fact, it may well be one of the most readily recognizable scents and flavors.

The oil is distilled from the whole Mentha piperita plant, and yields an oil with a minty, hot, herbaceous aroma, high in chemical compound menthol.  This high menthol content, found in the doTERRA's peppermint essential oil, distinguishes the best quality peppermint from other products.

There are more than 30 different compounds in pure peppermint oil, each in varying amounts, creating a synergistic masterpiece of biological activity.

    Primary benefits of peppermint oil

Promotes healthy respiratory function and clear breathing
    Alleviates occasional stomach upset
Frequently used in toothpaste and chewing gum, for oral health
