Think and Grow Rich [Chapter 2] by Napoleon Hill

    in Business

Tonight Taurea Avant is going to be discussing the Number One sold self-help book in the world which is Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich". Make sure you have joined the Visionary Book Club by going to www.VisionaryBookClub.com

On tonight's review, we are reviewing Chapter 2 of this top World Selling Book

Think and Grow Rich is a 1937 motivational personal development and self-help book by Napoleon Hill inspired by a suggestion from Scottish-American businessman Andrew Carnegie. While the title implies that this book deals with how to get rich, the author explains that the philosophy taught in the book can be used to help people succeed in all lines of work and to do or be almost anything they want.[2] Jim Murray wrote that Think and Grow Rich was credited for Ken Norton's boxing upset of Muhammad Ali in 1973. The Reverend Charles Stanley writes, "I began to apply the principles of (Think and Grow Rich) to my endeavors as a pastor, and I discovered they worked!" The book was first published during the Great Depression. At the time of Hill's death in 1970, Think and Grow Rich had sold more than 20 million copies and by 2011 over 70 million copies had been sold worldwide. It remains the biggest seller of Napoleon Hill's books. BusinessWeek Magazine's Best-Seller List ranked it the sixth best-selling paperback business book 70 years after it was published.[9] Think and Grow Rich is listed in John C. Maxwell's A Lifetime "Must Read" Books List.

Pastor Guarisco Discusses Christ's Restoration and Empowerment in Sex and Dating

    in Relationships

Some of us have grown up in the church and strayed or never were truly exposed to God and are now coming into the faith for the first time. Among these groups, there are some of us who have had some dark sexual pasts before we decided to allow God into our lives and the Holy Spirit to transform us. Our eyes have truly been opened as to why God said we must wait until marriage with the best person for us. We now want to live a pure life because we love God, but it does not mean God erases what we have done. The soul ties, scars, trust issues, shame, gult, unforgiveness, sinful ways picked up, and more are some of the things we have to overcome in Jesus. We might also struggle with the idea of not wanting to fall back into sin so we try with our own will power to "never do it again" or to "block it out of my mind". However, there is so much more than that and we can do nothing without God (the past has already revealed that).

How can those in this category enter the dating world again and do it God's way this time? When would one know when is the right time to open up again? Would it be wrong to choose the single Paul way instead? What are some boundaries and steps that can be taken to avoid the wiles of the devil who has a record of weaknesses to try and ensnare us with? How can healing come about?

I felt this was a topic dear to me because some of you know I fall into this category. I wanted to enocurage others to not give up the fight and that God will be there every step of the way. I am glad to have Pastor Nino Guarisco on the show to share what the Lord will place on his heart. I was inspired when I heard him talk about sex and dating on YouTube.
