This is a test of the audio chain for the Dr. Kim Radio Show. If you just bought a new computer with a pre-installed operating system or you just reformatted your computer, you may want to run a test to see if the sound is working. Sometimes a computer will not play sounds because of problems with the sound card, an uninstalled audio card driver, or malfunctioning speakers. It is best to troubleshoot sound problems the moment you encounter them, as many applications need sound to run efficiently.

Purdue went 27-28-1 including a 13-10 mark in conference play. The Boilers won five of their eight league series and posted three wins over Top 25 foes, downing No. 4 Michigan, No. 10 Texas and No. 12 Minnesota. The season, which saw the squad play 14 games against Top 25 foes and 14 opponents that advanced to the NCAA Regionals, also featured a no-hitter by junior Alex Whittemore and a program-best five All-Big Ten honorees. A program-record six players garnered All-Region accolades, while a record 14 players earned Academic All-Big Ten nods and senior outfielder Andie Varsho was tabbed with first team Academic All-America honors.
Fifteen years ago Phil White couldn’t use a fork or even speak after having emerged from a heroin overdose induced coma. When he awoke, it was discovered he had suffered catastrophic damage to his brain. But this month after years of rehabilitation, Phil has published his first book James Love the Destroyer. www.facebook.com/jameslovethedestroyer
Writing is a talent he has had since high school, but he feared it was lost after his drug overdose, which left him with severe nerve damage in his leg, memory problems, and difficulty following complex step-by-step tasks. He credits reading, writing, and strong family support with helping his brain heal.
“I think the brain can rewire itself and relearn to do things if rehabilitation trains new pathways to take shape to replace old ones. I want it to give hope to other brain injury patients that they can recover."
