Some defenders of the Confederate flag in South Carolina and around the country say the flag is not a symbol of racism and violence -- but of states' rights. They say the Civil War was waged by the South to limit the authority of President Lincoln and the federal government over the states.
Others say -- more accurately -- that the South fought to preserve slavery on the theory that whites are superior to blacks. Whatever the causes of the civil war, the issues of states' rights and race are deeply related. And not just in the past, but today as well.
Either way removing the confederate flag will not change the climate of racism or the spirit of hate. The flag is only symbolic of this mindset. Therefore, many say keep your flag , and give ME justice.

TONIGHT ON EVERYTHING LAKERS -TAKING A LOOK AT THE LAKERS 2015 NBA DRAFT PICKS
If D WADE goes to CLEVELAND and joins LEBRON JAMES, what effect will that be on THE LAKERS? None. Will THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS become the NEW LAKERS DYNASTY? I doubt that very seriously, VERY SERIOUSLY. That LAKER RECORD and STATUS will be a HARD TUMBLE DOWN for those who attempt to disrupt the LAKER LEGENDS, THE LAKER LEGACY or to shake the confidence of THE LAKER GURL. She will never be (well I can't say NEVER EVER) WARRIOR GURL, or a CLIPPER GURL. You know why? Because she is THE LAKER GURL regardless and true and through - so you better RED NECK-CONIZE. (What ever happened to HONEY BOO BOO?) 347-205-9366.

Was the killing of 9 Black people at the historic Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC all about starting a race war and gun control. Many conspiracy theorist feel Dylann Storm Roof is a homegrown terrorist whose mission was to carry out these murders, knowing it would stir up racial tension between Blacks and Whites. If a race war were to happen many feel martial law would be implemented, therefore putting each citizen's right to bare arms in jeopardy. Did Dylann Roof act alone. Was he a member of a hate group. How did one lone gunman over-power 12 people. Was this really about the assassination of Senator Clementa Pinkney. Was Senator Pinkney's house bill concerning body cameras for state police the reason for the murders. These are just some of the things we will be discussing tonight on internet radio show Center Stage.
For those who shall not be named isn't our style.
We don't do fake wannabe social justice call outs. It's that we're comfortable with a public disagreement.
There's a great deal of audio to respond to and we'll get to it in this episode.
At the end of one of our recent programs, we skipped a closing news story and delivered up a improvised riff, responding to some of John's commentary on the Pennymon Doctrine program.
I think they delivered an excellent rebuttle in their the fist half and toward the end of their following episode.
We'll use the first hour of our program to cite some of these statements and riff on it a bit.
Then in the second hour we'll get to our usual news and commentary.
Hopefully we'll get Ricky L Hines of the Americans United Again podcast and Leslie Mac of the Interracial Jawn and the Ferguson Response network to jump on with us.
This is going to be a pretty fun episode.
Thanks for hanging out with us.
