In this ground-breaking edition of The IR Show, our guest will be the founder and president of The Global Woman P.E.A.C.E Foundation Angela M. Peabody. Angela is also the author of the compelling book "When The Games Froze".
Global Woman PEACE Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) 3 with projects which are intended to provide educational programs for girls and women.
The Foundation initially placed their focus on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), conducting research, participating in panel discussions and using their website to educate readers on the practice. The Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation gained the reputation of being one of the expert organizations on FGM/C.
After publishing stories on such topics as sexual abuse, pedophilia, domestic abuse and discovering that majority of victims of sex trafficking are women and girls, the Foundation decided to make its sole focus, Gender Based Violence (GBV), which encompasses female genital mutilation, sexual abuse, and domestic violence, sex trafficking, breast ironing and pedophilia.
Join us for this informative, and monumental discussion where we will aim to highten awareness, and support the GW PEACE Foundation in it's ongoing efforts to bring education and empowerment to woman all over the world.
WARNING: Due to the intense adult subject matter of this program, listener discretion is strongly advise.

The “featured” BlogTalkRadio program “Westchester On the Level with Narog and Aris” opens the Thursday, July 10, 2014th broadcast day at 10:00 a.m. EDT with our guest, Angela Peabody, author of the award-winning fictional novel When the Games Froze, and president of the Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation (http://www.GlobalWomanPEACEFoundation.org ). Her interview with host Hezi Aris will focus on her mission to eradicate gender-based violence, and speak to the practice of FGM, female genital mutilation. FGM is defined as any and all procedure that involve partial or total removal of the female genitals or other female genital organs for non-medical reasons. FGM is practiced as a cultural ritual by ethnic groups in 27 countries in sub-Saharan and Northeast Africa, and to a lesser degree in Asia, the Middle East, and within immigrant communities in Europe, the U.S., Canada and some parts of South America. It is typically conducted with or without anesthesia by a traditional circumciser using a razor or knife on girls from a few weeks old to puberty. It is a “tradition” outlawed by United Nations decree yet continues unabated to this day.
At 11:00 a.m. we pivot toward local, county, state, federal and international concerns in final hour. Engage us in conversation by calling (347) 205-9201 to share your perspective – you are only asked to please stay on topic.
