What's the matter with Kansas? "The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy recently reported that Kansas has the ninth-most unfair tax system in the county.  A Kansan earning $47,700 a year pays 9.5 percent of income in state and local taxes; but someone earning $1,191,700 pays an effective rate of just 3.6 percent."

So much for the 'trickle down' libertarian economic theories masterminded by the Wichita plutocrats Charles & David Koch; and implemented by Gov. Sam Brownback and his cronies in the state legislature.

    Program Summary: Feb. 6, 2016

1st Hour - A special series first produced by The Real News Network 2015 featuring Pulitzer prize winning investigative journalist David Cay Johnston on his astounding trilogy of books about economic inequality in the United States.

2nd Hour - Hear the latest (released for distribution 20 Feb. 2015) from investigative reporter, Tony Gosling & "Old Labour" Martin Summer as they host from Bristol's community radio station the "Friday Drivetime" show.

Talking In Circles: Barney Hall's Passing, Regan Smith & David Ragan get rides

    in Sports

Legendary broadcaster Barney Hall passed away Tuesday night at the age of 83. We'll talk about how we'll remember Mr. Hall and his legendary career.

Regan Smith got a ride at Tommy Baldwin Racing over the past week in a surprising move that saw young driver Alex Bowman lose his ride. We'll discuss what the future holds for Bowman and what we expect from Regan Smith in 2016.

David Ragan also found a ride, driving the No. 23 Toyota for BK Racing in 2016. Ragan will join teammate Matt DiBenedetto in the No. 83 Toyota. We discuss what we expect from BK Racing and if this was the right move or not.

Also we discuss what rides are still avaiable as there are some key names still not locked into a ride for 2016.

JD Motorsports announced their plans for the 2016 season announcing that Ryan Preece and Ross Chastain will run a full season for the team and Eric McClure will run Daytona for the organization. The team is ready for the Chase.

Also Clayton is furious at that there has not been a solution for the Charter system as of yet. We are two weeks from teams going to Daytona and teams should know whether or not they're going to Daytona or not.

Blake Koch announced his plans with a new team for the 2016 season. It's good to see a new team start up in the XFINITY Series.

Kevin Harvick's crew chief Rodney Childers said that he thinks his team peaked too soon in the season last year. We'll discuss what those comments mean and whether or not there are any critics to the format we'd like to see.

Tony Stewart's comments on Brian France not being visable in the garage area. Not a surprise.

Plus we take your phone calls at 917-889-8280 on any other topics you would like to discuss.

Roe v Wade and the Continuing Battle for Women's Healthcare

    in Politics Progressive

This week marks another anniversay of the Roe v Wade decision - yet the battle for safe contraception continues. Advocate and activist Dr. Sophia Yen chats with the MOMocrats about abortion rights, safe contraception, and restrictive new laws, ballot propositions and "religious rights" exceptions that are making it difficult for women who merely want to fill prescriptions for medications they are entitled to receive for free under the Affordable Care Act. Dr. Yen talks about a solution to that problem that she has spearheaded: The Pill Club, an innovative contraceptive delivery service that combines an online pharmacy with tele-health (if you need to update your prescription for the pill). For more information on The Pill Club, please use the MOMocrats' affiliate link: https://thepillclub.com/#/?promo=momocrat.
