Many of the shows that portray black women show them as mean, loud, selfish, and unlady like to say the least. Some examples are "Housewives of Atlanta", "Love and Hip-Hop", and "Basketball Wives". These reality shows depict Black women at bars and restaurants taking pictures of food and drinks, cheering among themselves for attention, backstabbing each other, and getting into cat fights about nothing. Is this just hype for tv shows, or is this the type of women men encounter, in the dating world? Listen to the discussion on how these images of women, create barriers and issues between men and women when trying to date

This show will focus on how the church and mainstream media failed to help or hold accountable each other when it came to how they handled the Marvin Sapp vs. Teleka Patrick matter.
Dr. Patrick was the 30 year old first year resident doctor who disappeared on December 5, 2013, after trying unsuccessfully to book a room at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, MI. Later that evening, Dr. Patrick's car was found abandoned of the westbound side of I-94 in Porter, IN.
Since her disappearance, reports surfaced that Gospel Music Legend and Grand Rapids Pastor Marvin Sapp had taken out a personal protection order against the young doctor in September 2013. In the court documents, Sapp alleges that Dr. Patrick moved to Michigan to pursue a relationship with him and claimed him as her husband, even though he spurned her advances. Sapp also wrote that she joined his church, contacted his children, has been to his home and sent over 400 pages of correspondences to him which he never responded to. Police officials investigating the Patrick case made it clear that Pastor Sapp is not a suspect, but a victim of a stalker.
Dr. Patrick's ex-husband, Ismael Calderon, claims that she suffered from an undiagnosed mental illness that made her paranoid and hear voices. To date, no one has corroborated his claims about Teleka's mental state.
Tragically, on April 6, 2014, four months after her disappearance, Dr. Teleka Patrick's body was found floating in Lake Charles, just yards away from where her car was abandoned.
DISCLAIMER: The host does not have any direct knowledge of what actually happened to Dr. Teleka Patrick. All opinions and views expressed on the show are solely based on the information provided on social media and various news outlet websites. Our goal is to provide a platform to share the impact Dr. Patrick's story has had on our lives.
This week on Scottscope Talk Radio, the roundtable reviews The Raid 2: Berandal! Is it a worthy follow-up to the original? Is it actually better than the original? Is it too ambitious for its own good? Can it be considered bloated and pretentious? Could it possibly be the most violent action film ever made? Does it deserve comparison to classic “Heroic Bloodshed’ films like Hard Boiled and City on Fire? Might it even deserve comparison to the likes of The Godfather Part 2? Does it raise the bar for action cinema? Are fans overhyping it? Is it merely an ultraviolent yet disposable cult film from a familiar genre?
We’ll also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of that most classic of rap albums, Illmatic! Does it still hold up? Is it still Nas’ best album to date? Is its classic status overstated? Was Nas the beneficiary of east coast (IE New York) Bias? Was the album’s warm reception from the Hip-Hop press part of a calculated plot to bring New York back to prominence in the early 1990’s? Has Nas lived up to the promise of the album? Is he truly one of the all-time greats? Why did it take so long to be certified platinum by the RIAA? Join us as we examine the most acclaimed rap album of its time!
