Did you know that each day 1 homeless LGBT youth dies on the street every 4 hours. 6 died today. Let's put politics aside and be compassionate about people.

Our Guest Charles Strange of the Michael Strange Foundation https://www.facebook.com/MichaelStrangeFoundation http://www.michaelstrangefoundation.org/ ,host Robert Jetter, Jr. and panelists Activist Cindy Todd, Founder of Overpasses for America James Neighbors, & Constitutional scholar Kelly Mordecai, with contributor Dan Gray former columnist of the Washington Times. Call in and you stay on the line. You too can Join our Round Table Discussion.
Bards Logic welcomes Charles Strange to discuss his organization the Michael Strange Foundation and Extortion 17.
Michael Strange Foundation: The Michael J. Strange Foundation is a non profit organization set up in the memory of Michael J. Strange, who was killed in action on August 6th 2011 in Afghanistan. Michael was a Navy Cryptologist who served with an elite SEAL Team.
The foundation will provide unconditional support and services to the families of recently fallen service members by professionals in several fields and also by those who have suffered similar losses so that the healing process can begin.
Extortion 17: Among the killed in the crash were 25 special operations forces, and was largely unreported and covered up by media. All the Special Ops forces were packed into one National Guard Chinook. There was no escort for the Seals that night, no pathfinder, and conveniently the “eye in the sky” (drone) didn’t work. Prior to this crash, Barack Obama and Joe Biden had identified Seal Team 6 as the forces that killed Osama Bin Laden. One has to ask, “were they a trade off for Bin Laden?”

Jacob Rosales joins Dave to chat NFL football and preview the 2014 NFL season. We'll look at Johnny Manziel's first season w/ the Browns, the new rule changes enforcing more penalties on defensive contact, and look at what's to come for last year's Super Bowl teams the Broncos and Seahawks. History has shown super bowl teams not do well in the playoffs the next year but can both Seattle and Denver break the trend? Plus, who to pick in the AFC North? Could the Steelers make a return to the playoffs or will the Ravens bounce back from last year's bad season AND Ray Rice's ongoing controversy? How talented is the Packers' offense with Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Eddie Lacy, James Starks, and a healthy offensive line? Will Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore, Jim Harbaugh, and the 49ers be the team to beat in the NFC West or will the defending champion Seahawks repeat the title with Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson, and their remarkable defense? What is left of the Cowboys without Sean Lee and with a gimpy Tony Romo? Are Chip Kelly's Eagles ready to dominate the NFC East again and will Nick Foles repeat his fast start from 2013? Is this a make or break season for Robert Griffin III and the Redskins? Will anyone like the Titans challenge Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts? All these topics and much much more to discuss with Jake and Dave. PLUS Kevin on the Cape joins Dave in Hour 2 for "Random Questions." This week, we continue the cfcl.com "100 Questions" survey and take your questions via twitter and chat.
What's shaking, folks! Unfortunately, we preeempted this past Saturday's Grindhouse show but it was for a VERY good reason-The Afropunk Festival! Join Captain Kirk, Dburt and a special appearance from the Uncanny Daryll B., this Wednesday at 7:30pm. The topics to be unpacked are: the Afropunk highlights, of course; our thoughts on the Floyd Mayweather vs 50 cent feud. Is illiteracy ever funny?; in the latest in minstrel news, the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, Suge Knight was shot multiple times while attending a Chris Brown VMA party; can the sudden popularity of Little League World Series phenom, Mo'ne Davis herald the return of Blacks to the sport of baseball?; Dburt waxes about a recent Sirius-XM townhall about Black men that still got it wrong; was the NY Times out of line for refering to slain teen, Michael Brown as being "no angel?" ; and speaking of media depictions, does the #iftheygunnedmedown social media campaign make a legitimate point about the Black vs White victim portrayals?; a Time article posits that the animal mind is more compex than one would think and that they may getting smarter (as we humans appear to be lowering the cognitive bar); is Hercules' Kevin Sorbo racist (or like the preceding animal mind reference....was his rant more complex?); and lastly, is it possible that Fox's Megyn Kelly actually got it right when discussing White privilege with her colleague, Bill O'reilly?
