Not everyone knows a legend, but I do—my friend and mentor, one time host/ producer of TALKLINE (KGNW—AM), the one and only Frosty Fowler. Listed in the KFNQ World Heritage Encyclopedia, Frosty once worked as a press secretary and as host of an American Bandstand-style show. LIVE! In 1965, he kept his cool covering the rolling earthquake of 6.5 magnitude, but that wasn’t his last earthquake coverage, nor his only claim to fame. From a painter’s scaffold, a booth on the observation deck of the Space Needle—on a parachute jump or ostrich ride—Frosty never ceased to inform, challenge, inspire and delight his adoring fans (of which I am one). Learn how his Christian journey informed Frosty's work as a morning radio host icon.

9:00 AM Eastern, "The Tufts Get Going!" host Rosanna Tufts:
"Stones Rising." Ever wonder how ancient peoples made those megalithic monuments? There's a place just a couple hours' drive from DC, where you can not only see how it was done -- YOU get to do it too! Four Quarters Farm in Pennsylvania is the site of an ongoing project to build a new megalithic Stone Circle, as a place of worship. Sophia Kelly Shultz, one of the church's board members, joins me this morning to talk about how the project got started 20 years ago, and how it benefits the people who participate. (Encore performance.)
Campaigns for 2016 are going full-throttle, and we are watching intently. All across the country, people are engaged in the process and weighing in. Many are actively involved in the process--supporting declared candidates, encouraging people to run, or running themselves. Others are just taking it all in.
This week, we will talk to Maggie Campbell, president and founder of Republican Women Alliance (RWA). The focus of the RWA is to strengthen women's voices in the political arena and preserve conservatism within the Republican Party, among other things.
We will also delve into Donald Trump's candidacy. He is surging in the polls despite media criticism and controversy surrounding some of his policy plans and straightforward style. What is behind the Trump phenomenon? We'll talk about this, as well as some of the issues attached to his name, such as immigration, birthright citizenship, his battle with FOX News' Megyn Kelly, and more. We'll also read some comments about Trump from people on social media.
