MyFixitUpLife's hosts Mark & Theresa are dishing about when cheap is worth it when Kayleen McCabe joins them for this interview.
Licensed contractor and 2009 Stud Finder winner Kayleen McCabe found her passion for remodeling after tackling an entire kitchen renovation in her early twenties. Since then, Kayleen has used her unique combination of gutsy innovation and expert trade tricks to take on any home improvement challenge she can find, including renovating a massive duplex that took six months to complete.
This outdoorsy Denver native is fearless in the face of demolition, always ready with the perfect power tool, and willing to go to any lengths to bring out the existing charm in a home.
On DIY Network’s Rescue Renovation, Kayleen saves project-challenged homeowners who are in over their heads with their renovations. She points out exactly what went wrong and formulates a seven-day action plan to turn bad jobs into jaw-dropping rooms.
And beyond her carpentry skills....Did you see her in Runner's World last summer? http://www.runnersworld.com/celebrity-runners/im-a-runner-kayleen-mccabe

On this program i spoke a little about my Jehovah's Witness sister whom i had not spoken to for over ten years due to the shunning policy of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Never was able to get on my agenda and that was a good thing! We had callers calling in and some were former Jehovah's Witnesses and others were seeking advice on scriptural approaches to Jehovah's Witnesses. It was an action packed 2 hours of programming you will enjoy! Towards the end a small debate ensued between Joey McCabe an agnostic and myself who is a former JW himself and will be debating on our program later this month!
