Storytelling for Better Business: A Chat With Annette Simmons

    in Marketing

Welcome to Jargonorrhea Live – A viral marketing show with serious tips and a sense of fun.

I am Kathy Klotz-Guest, founder of Keeping it Human, coming to you live from San Jose, CA, in Silicon Valley. This show airs Thursdays at 3:30 PM PDT.  We help business and marketing executives and their teams humanize what they do by telling their most important company, product and customer stories to the world.

This podcast is all about making marketing more human, fun and effective. We are a jargon-monoxide-poisoning free zone. Leave a comment on the blog.

Whoever Tells the Best Story Wins.

Great stories win marketplaces. Business Storytelling is a critical skill for companies, teams and entrepreneurs today. Are we telling the right stories? Are we too superficial? Join me May 28 when Annette Simmons, author of the Story Factor  and Whoever Tells the Best Story Wins (now in its second edition) joins the podcast. She is a storyteller's storyteller and this is going to be a lot of fun!

Prediction: Cavs in 7. Don't bet against LeBron

    in Basketball

Rule of thumb: Don't bet against LeBron James.

Yes, the Golden State Waqrriors have three players who can defend him: Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala.

Yes, the Golden State Warriors have the reigning MVP in Stephen Curry.

    Yes, the Warriors are healthier.

Yes, the Warriors have home court advantage, having lost only three times all season at Oracle Arena.

But does anybody out there really want to state that Stephen Curry is a better all-around player than LeBron James?

Does anybody out there have any doubts about LeBron's confidence level? Or his drive? Or the zeal behind the quest he is on -- to bring Cleveland its first professionsl sports championship in any sport since 1964?

The Golden State Warriors are damn good. I have them winning three games in the NBA Finals.

But I have the Cavs winning four games, including Game 7 on the road, as I told Brandon Tierney and Tiki Barber of CBS Sports Radio in this interview.

Talking Motorcycles with AMA Pro Hillclimb/Troy Bayliss

    in Sports

Amanda Campbell has been around Hillclimbing her entire life. At the age of three she started racing in hillclimbs. She finished second in the amateur National Championships in the 125cc Class in 2002 and won the Women's Class in 2010. In 2009 she joined her husband in the AMA Pro Hillclimb Series in the Pro Sport Class on her CRF450. She became the first female to podium in the pro ranks with a second place finish her first race. Her career accomplishments were two second places in her first season and two third places in her second season. In 2012, she dedicated her efforts to the series by becoming involved in every aspect of the sport, from official duties to managing the Series and events to social media to marketing and to promoting the sport and the Series.

Vinny Nuzzolilli, out of Monson, Massachussetts, started racing 1998 at the age of 4. He joined the AMA Pro Hillclimb Series in 2010 at the age of 16. He has accomplished 21 top 3, including 8 career wins. He has won two Unlimited Class National Championships, in 2012 and 2014. He suffered a severe leg fracture in the next to last round in 2013 that put him out of contention for the Championship. As reigning Champion he looks to add to his resume of wins and podiums and go after a third Unlimited Class Championship in 2015. He competes in both the Xtreme Class and Unlimited Class on a CBR 636 and CBR 970 fueled by nitromethane.

Troy Bayliss will be calling in to discuss his experience at the IMDA Springfield Mile. We look forward to hearing his thoughts about the race, the fans and his fellow competitors. Was it what he expected? We find out in this episode of Talking Motorcycles powered by SOZO!

RAFEL SKEETE:  | Played: 1985-1991 Positions. OF-455, 2B-1, 1B-1born in the island of St. Maarten.

The Andrew Dixon Foundation is to develop self- esteem and motivate youth through the eyes of baseball. The past 3 years has been developing baseball throughout Jamaica primary schools, certifying and teaching

. Along with the annual back to school and Christmas projects give-a-ways. It has been brought to my attention that one of the rural primary schools St. Elizabeth "St. Mary's primary school" is without proper bathroom facilities. We have agreed to take on this project to build two bathroom facilities for this school, which we are seeking support and donations to help complete this project. The cost of this project is estimated at $20,000.00 US and our portion is $10,000.00 half of the cost. The Jamaican government is willing to assist us with the remaining balance. The families of the students who attends the school will be assisting by contributing labor and other help as well. The bathrooms will consist of 4 commodes for the girls, 3 commodes for the boys with 3 urinals, 2 sinks will be provided in both along with the basic doors. We will provide photos of the existing bathrooms with current conditions students has endured for the past years. We kindly thank you in advance for your assistance and all donation proceeds. All amounts are highly appreciated. Once, again thanks for your support. Sincerely Andrew Dixon Foundation Andrew Dixon
