Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will be talking about Karma-- the law of reciprocity. What we put out is what we get back; in Kriya Yoga there are no accidents everything is cause and effect. What isn't conscious is unconscious and "Karmic." They will be talking about the various types of Karma and the cycle of death and rebirth and how these laws help explain many of the experiences found in everyday life. These principles will be explored in everyday circumstances and applied to the yoga concept of how we think is what we become. Is it fate, destiny or free will? Victim or creator? Join them as they discuss these tried and true spiritual laws "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."
Arvind Chittumalla, producer and director of Yoga Maya, has been practicing yoga for the last 30 years. He moved to the US ten years ago. Since then, he has actively participated in the American yoga industry as a practitioner, teacher and yoga entrepreneur. He has owned yoga studios and produced many yoga festivals and conferences. He has often wondered why a vast and profound way of life such as yoga has been relegated to a primarily physical practice. After interacting with hundreds of yoga teachers, yoga businesses and students, he has come to the realization that there are many misconceptions of yoga in America, and it is these misconceptions that are preventing many people from embracing all aspects of yoga. In Yoga Maya, he wishes to shed light on these thought provoking misconceptions.
