"Everyone is Necessary" - That's the motto of Donna Janel.
Donna overcame a traumatic life ,including going in and out of foster care, sleeping in parks and train stations all through out high school, being married at 19, giving birth to a medically challenged son and then being left by her husband, with 2 kids to raise alone. Three years later, Donna would find herself devastated by the death of her sister/best friend, just 24 months after the death of her sister’s husband. Donna was faced with raising her sister’s two daughters who were traumatized by the back-to-back deaths of their parents.
" How can I raise broken children, when I'm broken myself" - Donna Janel
Lisen as she shares her journey of overcoming many obstacles, but in the end, coming out with the victory.
This show is dedicated to keeping families together, and to fighting the tyranny of CPS and DCFS social workers. A secondary purpose of the show is to educate parents and relatives, or to at least show them where to get the necessary information for their fight. The final purpose of the show is to remind the people that change can be effectuated at the ballot box, at the state and federal levels. Let us unite, vote and elect those who will make the necessary changes.
KB AND THE REVOLUTIONARY RYDERS hit the airwaves in a Nat Turner state of mind. Black America is lost We don't understand our rights,we don't own enough of anything to have any real economic power and our communities are some of the worst in this country. With all the problems that we have we still lack the solidarity to get back on the right track and ensure a bright future for our kids. We must decide whether we want to depend on the white man and his system or build a strong black nation that does for self. The question is to assimilate or not to assimilate.. Some of us have already begun the process of whitewashing ourselves and becoming reflections of the oppressor. If we decide to fully abandon our blackness and become what they tell us to be, would our quality of life suddenly change for the better? Despite the fact that there are many of us who already consider themselves uber negros who don't see race or racism the fact is that white America still hates you. Join us tonight as we discuss whether or not we should "clean up" our act and just forget about being black and just be good fashioned red blooded Americans Why is it important to hold on to our culture? How can get rid of the self hate that has become an epidemic for our people? Why is Sherriff Clarke still wearing that dumbass hat?

Shakira is featured on Life Lessons because we think she has something significant to teach others.
As a small girl she was rejected from the school choir and her music teacher told her that her voice sounded like a goat. If someone had said something like this to me I would probably be embarrassed to my core and would take on oath either to never sing again. But garnering the courage to sing infront of crowd in the same trait that was made fun of takes quite a character indeed. You need not fit everywhere: Her parents encouraged her saying “You have a beautiful voice, stick to what you are, don’t sing any less loud than what you think.” VALUE ORIGINALITY! The first two albums failed: Her first two albums Magia and Peligro, which were released in the early 1990s failed to achieve any commercial success. It took till 2006 for the phenomenal song “Hips Don’t Lie”. And in 2010 it was waka waka which has over 700 million views on youtube. What takes for someone to reach such a remarkable success- Persistence, patience, hard work, innovation, passion, belief, hope, dream, dedication. Giving it back Shakira is very well known for her involvement in philanthropic activity and charity work through her concerts. When she was young, her father took her to a local park to see the orphans who lived there and she said to herself ” One day, I am going to help these kids when I become a famous artist!” People have achieved a lot of things and some of them have decided to pay back.
Adele's life lessons come from her lyrics- all blissful moments of sensual indulgence. Our Top 5 life lessons learned from her lyrics.Don’t Believe Everything You Hear People tend to talk trash. A casual misspoken word can be the spark that turns into a blaze that ruins lives. In “Rumour Has It” Adele expresses her severe distaste for groundless statements with the line, “You've been telling people things that you shouldn’t be.” Although it is not in your power to control what others say, it is fully your decision when it comes to deciding what to believe.Be Cautious Because life is unexpected, it can be prudent to exercise a little bit of caution when it comes to matters of the heart. .Moving On In “Someone Like You,” Sometimes, your best play is to simply accept that, think good thoughts, and move on. Sometimes A Little Rage Is Good When you’re having a hard time moving on, you might need that burst of anger to help you finally see the truth that sets you free. Just like Adele says in “Rolling In The Deep”: “There’s a fire starting in my heart/Reaching a fever pitch, it’s bringing me out the dark/Finally I can see you crystal clear.” Value Your Relationship With Your Kids “Hello” isn’t about an ex lover. It’s about being away from the people who are the most important aspect of your life: your children. In her lyrics, Adele laments over her guilt of being away from her kids. Take Adele’s song as a cautionary tale and always remember to put your kids first.
Our next topic is one of the most important topics of the year. Growing up Some of us played Cops and Robbers. Inspiring to become a Police Officer is a dream for many kids still today. Anthony, personally went to College for Criminal Justice and passed the intial screening to become a Hazel Crest Police Officer. After really considering what all is involved when obtaining a career of an Police Officer Anthony decided to decline the Police Academy.
Being a Police Officer Today is probably the most difficult Career in our Current Society. With Smartphones, Social media and the increase technology the question keeps coming up about all Police Officers being required to have Cameras 24/7 to monitor their activities because of the many recent events involving Police Officers and what many consider unlawful acts.
Trent and myself need everyone to help us make this show one of the best of the year. Not for numbers or listeners but for resources and solutions to this ongoing problem. Tonight's special guest is Debby Washington Goodwin from Springdale, Arkansas, who'll be joined by her hubby, Mike T. (they are also perhaps better known as The Outlaw and The Lady). Debby is a mother who had to work through the rage, shame and guilt of discovering her only child's sexual abuse at the hands of her ex-husband. "A mother's worse nightmare!" she says. Mike tells me he's a survivor of childhood abuse that took its many forms by both his mother and his dad. The Outlaw and The Lady met in a Behavioral Hospital as patients. Upon discharge they dated, and married and have been given their strength and courage through sharing with others their life experiences while encouraging others to share theirs. Their mission dream is to give those that feel they have no hope with no voice through 'Keys To AWARENESS - Passionate About Compassion' on Facebook. Debby says, "We know first hand how the experiences of sexual, physical, and mental childhood abuse and how it can consume one throughout his/her entire life. We also know some do not physically survive it and for those we want to find and be their voice." Besides sharing on social media, they go out on the road to meet with clients, either as individuals or in seminars. Since their cause is centered on their own life experiences (child sexual child abuse and child abuse period), there's a lot they share only at their seminars. People privately will feel comfortable to share once they hear what The Outlaw and The Lady have been through. As Debby points out, "We're busy .. but that is a good kind of busy."
