Sacred Acoustics & Meditation on Recovery Now with Kim Justus

    in Health

Karen Newell is an innovator in the emerging field of brainwave entrainment audio meditation, Karen empowers others in their own journeys of discovery. Along with Dr Eben Alexander, they healing in new ways!

Meditation & heart awareness were central elements to her many different subjects of study. But Karen found it extremely challenging to sit still with focused attention for any length of time. She discovered that the most effective aid for meditation was monotonous sound — not music and singing melodies, but the simple tones produced by crystal bowls, tuning forks, gongs, chimes and human chanting.

When it came to modern methods Karen found that the regular practice of listening to recordings containing binaural beats minimized distracting thoughts and restlessness, allowing her to finally reach the expanded states of awareness she sought. Karen joined with Kevin Kossi to create original recordings unmatched by any others either   had experienced. Together they created Sacred Acoustics.  sacredacoustics.com

Recovery Now with Kim Justus on Being Your Own Advocate at All Times

    in Radio

My guest will be Peter Hoecherl discussing bias treatment by law enforcement, and what a tangled web that can be weaved. He will walk us through things to watch out for, and new resources to be aware of to protect ourselves. When trouble knocks, we need to be educated in helpful resources ourselves. Advocacy doesn't come easy. For a "Vulerable Adult" he hasn't done too bad!

Peter suffered TBI's in 1989, 96, 98, 2001, 09 & 13. His prognosis has remained that there is nothing that can repair his deficits. He has no left temperal lobe functions, no positive emotional states, No frontal cortex  (pleasure center), and his word and language processing very inhibited. Peter has gone on to explore higher education and many hobbies, even after all of the injuries he has sustained. "PJ" knows that in order to move forward, we need an attitude of determination and action..No matter what.
