    Tom Bird: Write/Right From God

    in Self Help

It's warm-up music and chat for the first 30 minutes, then our show gets underway at 9am pacific, 12-noon eastern.

When You Write, Are You Channeling? Some people claim all creativity is “channeling.” Perhaps writing is. When Tom Bird says you can write a best-selling book in a single weekend, by quieting your Left Brain and allowing that “something larger” than yourself to give you the words, are you game to find out if it will work for you? I am. So I’m talking with Tom on Thursday to learn his approach. Especially if you’ve always felt you’ve got a book inside of you, listen. If you’re creative—listen. If you’re curious, listen!

I actually wrote a book in a weekend. Just to see if I could do it. I did not, however, see it as part of my path to Spiritual Self-Discovery, so when Tom Bird came along talking about writing your book in a weekend as “the ultimate spiritual experience,” I just HAD to investigate! Mine wasn’t a “best seller,” either. I figure I have a lot to learn. Tom Bird is just likely to hold the key for me. Do you have a book inside of you? Most of us do! Let’s find out how Tom says we can temporarily put our left brain to sleep, and crank out our best-seller in a weekend!

Cafecito Break - Life Gems with Jacquie Bird

    in Spirituality

Welcome to Cafecito Break's Virtual Livingroom space with your hosts Rosangel Perez & Ruthie Guten. Our topic today: "Life Gems" with Jacquie Bird from Silk Wire Jewelry

About: Jacquie Bird  "I LOVE shapes.  As a choreographer, as a dancer, as a singer, as a writer, it's all about the shape of something.  As a singer, how does the sound shape from me to the audience?  As a dancer, it's all about shapes & creating pictures.  As a writer, I shape the story from my inner eye to my reader.  I feel the same way as a Jewelry Artist--it's about how I choose & create the shapes to contour to one's body, to accent one's essence. I use Gem Stones in my everyday life & enjoy the benefits along with the Beauty.?  Copper is also a Natural Resource that I utilize because of its many potential health benefits and it enhances the energy of the stones. But the main reason I wrap with Copper wire is that intrinsically, INTUITIVELY this is the metal my gut whispered to use.

I write A Bird Blogs About Gems where I riff about the Gems that are crystal as well as Life.

That's what it's all about for me.  Shapes and Energy.  I create & shape SilkWire Jewelry: Adorn YourSelf With Art & The Power Of GemStones which manifests as JewelryArt 4 Your WellBeing.  They're bendable, adjustable, washable. One-Size-Fits-Many Conversation Pieces." - Jacquie Bird

Tommy Bird on Life Through Sled Dogs, Back in the Day

    in Entertainment

I apologize to everyone this morning, as I was having serious technical difficulties getting the show going. So, once I managed to fix things, I started a new broadcast, and what an hour it was.

Tommy Bird is one of the finest story tellers I've had the pleasure to speak with, and he has promised to return again to tell us more. He shares his life from a wee boy through today working with these sled dogs we so love, stories from the trap line, his races and a few tips on how he manages his team, and why they are so very exceptional.

    Tears in the Jungle

    in Environment

    William & Daniel Clarke

The vision of these two young men is to save the orangutans of Borneo and Sumatra. Their mission is to create greater awareness of the issues facing the orangutan and their habitat, to empower children and adults to make a difference and to raise funds to help save orangutans from extinction. Two brothers, one wheelchair and a passion to make a difference.  Sometimes I can’t believe the exceptional human beings I get to learn about and interview. Their book, Tears in the Jungle, is a fun and educational way for children to learn about the environment and understand how they can make a difference.  I hope you plan to join me because the story of these two young people from Australia and what kind of global impact they are having is something we all want to know about. This show is made possible through the generous support of Habitat for Humanity Tucson.
