Please join us for the second RN.FM Radio appearance of Julianna Paradisi, an accomplished nurse, writer and visual artist.
Julianna's paintings have been featured in the American Journal of Nursing and Scrubs Magazine, and she is the published author of many essays and short stories.
This inspiring nurse contributes a monthly illustrated blog post to the blog of the American Journal of Nursing, and writes weekly illustrated posts for The Oncology Nurse Community.
Julianna blog at JParadisiRN.com, and in 2013 she started a new blog, The Adventures of Nurse Niki, a fictionalized account that is so life-like, it's almost real!
This will prove to be an inspiring and exciting interview, so don't miss out!
Julianna Baggott has been writing for 14 years and has 22 books in print, some of them best sellers. That on its own is impressive, but add to that they were Put out by publishing houses, not self-published. Then add in that she was raising three small children for most of that time. Prolific may be an understatement.
She also writes under the pen names Bridget Asher and N.E. Bode. Ms. Asher writes more for women and N.E. Bode (pronounced body) writes for ages 8-13.
Julianna talks with us this week about how that all happened and about her process, and about her most recent book, Harriet Wolf's Seventh Book of Wonders. It takes place mostly in the Baltimore area and talks about some well known institutions here, like what used to be called the Home for Feeble Minded Children, and later, as Rosewood.

Nicole Sandler and Julianna Forlano Go Gaga On Patricia Arquette's Jigaboo Feminism
So Nicole Sandler is at it again, bringing out the white supremacist side of her liberalism.
We've heard her tell Imani Gandi (angry black lady) that it's too bad she "doesn't feel comfortable in her own skin".
She couldn't help but quip about the "blacks" giving their kids "weird names".
And thought she's quite white and often self identifies as white, she has to remind you that she's Jewish whenever she disagrees with an uppity colored.
Julianna Forlano is convinced that big scary black bucks like Elon James White from This Week in Blackness are attacking her... (nice dog whistle).
It's another classic case of white folks reminding black folks where their place is and telling those talking negro chicks on twitter to tone it down and behave themselves.
We'll discuss, we'll laugh and we'll dig into that Fox clip about Jigaboo music.
Maybe after all of that, we'll have time for some news and comment.
Carson's Corner host Bob Carson attended the 2015 Left Forum at John Jay College Friday and Saturday, and he recorded some fantastic audio from some of the key radicals in the fight against imperialism and Capitalism, which are one in the same.
On 5-29, the first panel discussion, Against The Narrative: Independent Media and the Left, hosted by Julianna Forlano, featured Glen Ford of the Black Agenda Report, Eddie Conway, former Black Panther and political prisoner, and Paul Jay of The Real News. We will play audio from this discussion, which includes a discussion of black indepedent media and the need for a media alternative to the corporate dominance.
After this panel discussion, Bob had the opportunity to interview John Dennie, a retired postal worker and activist who is protesting a Staples takeover of our postal service.
Bob also had the opportunity to interview Green Party presidential candidate, Jill Stein. The Election Boycott Advocates have been discussing how ineffective third party candidates have been, considering the very system as constructed by the capitalist class. Bob poses this and other questions to Jill Stein.
On 5-30, Bob attended Why We Focus on U.S. Imperialist Wars, hosted by Sara Flounders, of the International Action Center, and Joe Lombardo of UNAC (United National Antiwar Coalition). Both had brilliant observations about U.S. imperialism.

Aral Bereux, author of dystopian war and urban fantasy novels, has the most exciting trailers and visual teasers for her bestselling series, The Juliana Rae Chronicles. Aral is the featured guest on this episode and will talk about trailers, her books, and answer questions from callers.
If you're planning a trailer for your book, or wondering why yours isn't producing interest, you must tune in to this show.
