The Barbados Judicial System and its Constant War Against the Ordinary Citizen

    in Radio

Who is magistrate Wayne Clarke and why did he send his fellow citizen, Maurice Sandiford, to Hotel Dodds?  Tonight we will discuss the judicial system and its seemingly war-bent attiude against the ordinary Barbadian citizen.  Pamela Beckles, recently appointed High Court Judge, was vouched for by all Naked Departure Group members. Congratulations are in order for this new justice.  (http://nakeddeparture.com/2016/01/06/maurice-sandiford-and-the-judicial-witch-hunt/)

Insurance:  Do you enter Kensington Oval and other government buildings at your own risk?  And what would it take for the Auditor General, Leigh Trotman, to give Barbadians a list of all uninsured buildings?  Is it legal to have an occupied (office) building without insurance?  In case of emergency, will the government pay for injured persons, e.g., if an incident occurred at Kensington Oval?  (http://nakeddeparture.com/2016/01/06/kensington-oval-barbados-enter-at-your-own-risk/)

Anthony Grandison and the Asclepius Scam at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.  Who is guarding the guards?  Who vetted Mr. Grandison for this position and are the allegation cited by Anonymous Barbadian Blogger being investigated?  (http://nakeddeparture.com/2015/12/17/anthony-grandison-and-the-asclepius-scam-at-the-qeh/)

Unspoken Words: Thoughts of the Millennial Generation

    in Politics

Today on Unspoken Words Robert Dunn chats with Natalie Callahan! Natalie is the current Secretary for the UFCR and is excited to be running for Chair.Throughout high school she was actively involved with the Cottonwood Heights Youth City Council (CHYCC).  For all three years that Natalie was involved, she served on CHYCC Executive Council.  In her final year on the CHYCC she was the youth representative on the Cottonwood Heights Planning Commission.  These experiences sparked Natalie’s passion for government and public policy. In 2013 Natalie interned in Senator Hatch’s DC office with the Judiciary Committee. Immigration Reform and the Supreme Court rulings on DOMA and Prop 8 were the major issues being discussed during her Summer there.  Participating with the Federal Government at this level was a true learning experience for Natalie.  She plans to return to DC for Law School.  There she will focus on Constitutional and Election Law.  Natalie hopes to be as big of a nuisance to the Federal government as they are to hardworking Americans. Natalie has worked for many Republican candidates in Utah and across the United States.  In the 2014 election cycle, Natalie worked on campaigns in California, Utah, and Kentucky.  She participated in two deployments for Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell and during the general election took a team to Kentucky where they canvassed over 1,000 homes. Natalie works for the Utah Republican Party as their Project Director and loves being involved in Utah Politics!

The Political Bureau of the Rwanda National Congress met on 20th December, 2015, to review its achievements and challenges as it celebrates its fifth anniversary since its founding on 12th December, 2010.

Notably, the RNC Political Bureau meeting takes place at a time when Rwanda has just concluded a sham constitutional referendum (announced just one week in advance) that paves the way for President Paul Kagame to serve as President for life. President Paul Kagame has been de facto President of Rwanda since July 1994.

During his 21 year rule, President Kagame has turned the state of Rwanda into a personal fiefdom. Rwanda has the trappings, but none of the substance, of a democratic government. Rwanda’s president enjoys unbridled power. The president rules with the assistance of a small clique of military officers and a few civilians connected, often, by family relations and business links. The same group controls the judiciary and the economy of the country. President Kagame, through his control of the enterprises that enjoy a monopoly of business with the government and most lucrative licences, has amassed a personal fortune worth billions of dollars.
