    Remembering Jordan McDonald

    in Music

On June 14, 2014, Canadian eventer Jordan McDonald suffered a fatal injury while competing at the Nunney International Horse Trials held at Southfield House, Whatley, Frome, Somerset, GBR.

This tragic loss inspired Jordan’s sister, Shannon, who performs as Shanna Lynn in the country music duo known as Georgia Rain, with Damian Marshall (her husband), to record a rendition of his favourite song.

A self-taught guitarist, Jordan loved “The Boxer” by Simon and Garfunkel. Shanna Lynn fondly recalls the times he would play it and ask her to sing along. She didn’t know the words then, but she is pleased to sing it for him now. “This was the hardest recording we have ever done. [It] tugs at the heart strings…very bittersweet for me,” said Shanna Lynn, “but I know he’s listening.”

The song is now available on itunes. Proceeds will go towards keeping Jordan’s dreams and goals alive through his wife, Shandiss, and their horses.

Feel - Deal - Heal with Pastor Renee Roberts

    in Christianity

Welcome to Tuesday Taylored with God.

Theme for the month of March: Made Whole - Made Well - Made New

Hosts: Joan Taylor of Seeds of Faith Ministries and Pastor Renee Roberts of Latter Rain Family Worship Center (LRFWC)

Pastor Renee will share a Word on the expression of your feels and what it takes to walk in wholeness.

Feel: Your feelings are valid.  Validated feelings are not an excuse to remain in a place of complete emotional dysfunction and it doesn’t justify your inability to move forward.  Stop running and manage your emotions.
Deal: Confess your brokenness.  Before you let it go, you must let it out.
Heal: Healing begins with forgiveness.  Forgive yourself and forgive others. All healing is first a healing of the heart. Confront and put an ax to the root of your brokenness.

This show is brought to you by Seeds of Faith Ministries a non-profit organization. It’s because of the donations of faithful listeners like you, that we are able minister the Word of God weekly on Blog-Talk Radio. Our mission is to Empower, Encourage, and Enrich the lives of people worldwide to be everything that God has created you to be. Please Sow a Seed, make your donations on joantaylor.org. Be the Blessing and Watch God Transform lives.
