Welcome to a relatively diverse episode of Canadian Musician Radio.
Joining us this week is Esma, a Toronto-based pop artist who's been turning plenty of heads in the last few years. She's shared stages with some monsters like Jadakiss, Jay Sean, and LMFAO and worked alongside some top producers from the hip-hop realm, including Fingaz (Snoop Dogg) and fellow Canuck Rich Kidd (Drake, Busta Rhymes). We'll chat about her current projects and some tips for networking and navigating the industry.
We've also got Matt Epp, the Winnipeg-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter whose latest album, Ready In Time, marks a sonic departure from his more folk-inspired back catalogue. We talk about his work with producer Rusty Matyas (The Waking Eyes, Imaginary Cities) and some of the other things on the horizon.
Finally, we have Aldo Mazza, the man behind KoSA, a Montreal-based percussion institution celebrating the 20th edition of its annual Workshop, Fetsival, and Camp in July. We talk about his history with the organization and some of the initiatives planned for the future.

Join Mary E., as she welcomes Erotica author Kyoko Church. Kyoko comes to us from Australia as she celebrates her newest illustrated fiction, "Diary of a Library Nerd." Mary E., and Kyoko go deeper than just discussing the novel, and explore shame in sex, sex-positivity, feminism, kink and self-discovery and the role that Erotic fiction plays in exploring human sexuality.
Kyoko discovered the power of the pen when she was 16 years old and penned a very explicit missive to her boyfriend detailing all the naughty things she wanted to do to him. When he received it, boyfriend was impressed. When he found it, father was not. For the next 18 years she hid her naughty thoughts in shame until she found a community where they were once again appreciated for the well-imagined smut they are. Her short stories and novellas have been published by Black Lace, Xcite Books, HarperCollins Mischief Books, Sweetmeats Press, Cleis Press and Running Press.
A Canuck by birth, she has recently made Australia her home. She is currently learning to drive on the left and say G’day convincingly.
