LAURA JOHNSTON KOHL
Laura Johnston Kohl grew up as an activist in Washington, D.C., and watched as many of her heroes were assassinated in the 1960s. While she was in high school and college, John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and others were killed. That had a huge impact on her. She attended college in Connecticut and continued her commitment to work for change and to make a difference. While exercising her civil rights to protest peacefully, she was tear-gassed while protesting the war in Viet Nam. After a brief marriage, a visit to Woodstock, and a stint working with the Black Panthers, she moved to California to join her sister.
Soon after that, she was introduced to Peoples Temple and spent the next nine years in California and Guyana. She was away from Jonestown on the day when 913 of her friends and family died. The next twenty years were spent recovering, and rebuilding her life
CHURCH FOLK REVOLUTION RADIO -Today we will have part two to our show on Wed where we take a look at how to get family members out of controlling churches. Our special guest tonight is Laura Johnston Kohl, Jonestown survivor and author of “Jonestown Survivor: An Insider’s Look.”
Laura Johnston Kohl was in Georgetown when the mass murder/suicide of 918 people occurred in Jonestown. Laura has written the book to tell her perspective of this tragic event in history.
In Laura’s past, she was an activist in Washington D.C. and watched as many of her heroes were assassinated in the 60s. During her years at college in Connecticut, she actively worked to make a difference in the world. Laura protested peacefully to fight against the war in Viet Nam and was tear-gassed in the process. She married, divorced and made a trip to Woodstock, followed up by a period of working with the Black Panthers. Soon after, she moved to California to be with her sister.
During this time, she was introduced to Peoples Temple where she spent the following nine years in California and then moved to Guyana with the group. She was away from Jonestown on November 18, 1978, when 913 of her friends and family died.

The connections are shocking to say the least. As implausable and it may seem there is considerable evidence that these seemingly unrelated issues are connected. The JFK assassination is the Rosetta Stone and the portal through which all forms of hidden tyranny can be seen. But only if you have the courage to enter into the American Heart of Darkness: http://www.amazon.com/American-Heart-Darkness-Transformation-Pathocracy/dp/1479793213/ref=sr_1_1_title_1_pap?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1404781283&sr=1-1&keywords=kirkconnell
Today we will explore these issues where many fear to tread. The next hour and a half could change the way you look at the United States of America. Are we really free or is it an illusion, or maybe a delusion? Let's take a look!
This installment of The Forbidden Fruit will explore the pull of religion and why it makes ordinarily sane and intelligent people believe and do what they do? Why does it have such a strong grip on society? What is the cure? What are the pitfalls and what are the benefits? Have we not learned from the past or are we doomed to to repeat it? Does anybody have any ideas or a game plan on how we can begin to pull ourselves out of the Religious BS?

On tonights magnificent episode of Death By DVD Ti West's most recent lack of effort, The Sacrament is discussed. Is it really a bad movie? No. Not in the least bit!
But what the hell? You know exactly why this is 30 minutes of Ti West getting called a douche bag. YOU KNOW.
Guyana was used and abused, like so many other lands full of Earth's gifts. We will discuss reasons why Guyana was the location for The Peoples' Temple exodus and spectacle. We will also expand on some snippets of our last episode, for clarification's sake.
