After 16 years Jon Stewart called it a day on The Daily Show. He was an amazing host. The Daily Show was the ONLY way I got my news. So tonight's show is a tribute to a truly unique voice in the world of news, comedy and satire. Love him or hate him you have to admit he was probably the most fair and balanced voice in the media today. And let's not forget he was actually an actor too. One who said he couldn't act LOL. But I enjoyed him in Death to Smoochy and The Faculty. #jonvoyage

Your friends in podcasting follow up on their first official intercontinental L.A. to Australia episode of YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour with a full hour (plus) of conversation. Topics range from the death of Rowdy Roddy Piper to the end of Jon Stewart’s run on “The Daily Show”, from the apology made by the killer of Cecil the Lion to the return of Art Bell, from recent and classic movies directed by women to what foreign governments think of the U.S., from how Dean Haglund celebrated his birthday to what new cinematic releases Phil Leirness highly recommends. All that, plus Phil peppers Dean with questions about his trip to Vancouver this week to participate in the reboot of “The X-Files”. What did Dean think of the script? Which episode of the six being filmed is Dean shooting this week? What are the odds The Lone Gunmen will be back for more in this (brief) season? Is the show being written to “resolve” the story, or is it setting up the potential for continuation (depending on ratings)? Where will Dean be filming? Will he be wearing a wig? Dean’s answers to these questions are never less than interesting
I'm pretty excited about this podcast, our first in our new podcast studio at DK New Media! Jon Wuebben has been a long-time friend, we seem to bump into each other at every conference and love hanging out together. He's also an entertaining singer, the life of the dance floor, and can do a heck of a job on Karaoke.
Jon is a multi-book author and helps clients develop content strategies, deploy their content, and promote their content online. The frustrations of the industry led him to develop his own platform, ContentLaunch, for planning, coordinating, publishing and promoting content. It's primary focus is on the small and mid-size business market since Jon saw the industry only providing large, expensive, enterprise products to handle the process.
In the first half, we speak quite a bit about the platform, but the second half of the interview gets into some incredible detail on content marketing strategies and its use to build relationships with your prospects and customers. Be sure to listen - we've got great information throughout and will leave you with a task that will transform your content ideation strategy.
BoomGen cofounder Reza Aslan discusses Jon Stewart's debut feature Rosewater, with Jon and Maziar Bahari (writer & executive producer)
About Rosewater: Based on the gripping memoir by Iranian journalist Maziar Bahari, Rosewater takes us into the harrowing true story of his coverage of Iran’s 2009 uprisings over the controversial re-election of incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad—and Bahari's subsequent arrest and incarceration at Iran's notorious Evin Prison.

JON WILLIAM LOPEZ
Jon William Lopez is a student of New Thought spirituality, metaphysics, and a professional licensed spiritual counselor and prayer practitioner with the Centers for Spiritual Living. A cartoon animator, illustrator and professional photographer, his career spans over 40 years, during which he worked at Disney Feature Animation, Dreamworks SKG, Turner Feature Animation, Film Roman (for 3 seasons of “The Simpsons”) and dozens of other studios and production houses. He has exhibited and sold his photography in New Mexico where he and his partner co-owned an art gallery, Morning Calm Gallery. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico and has also lived in Michigan, Brazil, New York, Texas, Georgia and New Mexico. He and his partner also taught English for a year in South Korea. Always interested in metaphysics, Lopez was introduced to New Thought ideas in the mid-1980s and has since had direct personal experience with the spiritual principles that beliefs, thoughts and words create reality, and that there is one Universal Mind and Intelligence of which we are a part and can use in our daily life. Using these principles, Jon has, along with attracting his life partner (now his spouse), manifested his dream job, increased financial prosperity. He is author of a book, “Perfect Praying: 5 Simple Steps That Make Prayers Work.” Though not raised in any formal religion, Jon has always had a keen interest in and fascination for metaphysics, spirituality, the paranormal and UFOs. In the 1980s, while living in Brooklyn, NY, he had a lucid, out-of-body experience involving UFOs, so vivid and real, he remembers it as though it happened yesterday. His favorite movie of all time is “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, which he has seen more times than he will ever disclose. He and his spouse now live in retired bliss in Tucson, Az, where he continues his photography and spiritual practice.
