Reading: "The Offense of the Cross" sermon given by John G. Lake

    in Religion

"And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution?  then is the offense of the cross ceased."  (Galatians 5:11)

The early ministers and preachers were declaring that the Cross was the very CENTER of religion, the SECRET of government, and the INSPIRATION of culture.  You and I are called to represent that Cross in word and life, and if we fail to do it, we are failing in loyalty to our Lord and Master.

Men are afraid of God because of wrong concepts. Let a man meet God in Jesus and he will love God.

Old things are passed away.  That is the power of the cross.  All things are become new.  That is the power of being raised in newness of life in Him, (Romans 6:4).

    ......John G. Lake

Scott Alan Roberts & John Ward: The Exodus Reality

    in News

In this groundbreaking work, the authors reexamine humanity’s most enduring account of bondage, emancipation, and freedom. The Great Exodus is the story of how one man, empowered by divine epiphany, brought the mighty ancient kingdom of Egypt to its knees. For thousands of years, this story has bolstered the faithful of three major religions, though little historical data confirms it. So the question must be asked: Did it ever really happen?

Roberts, a historian and theologian, and Ward, an archaeologist, Egyptologist, and anthropologist, dig deeply into historical records to answer the most vexing questions:

Is there any historical evidence for the biblical account of the Great Exodus?

    Was Moses a real person?
Where is the Biblical Mount Sinai?
What is the Ark of the Covenant, and where did it come from?
Why did Moses write about the Serpent and the Nephilim?
Is there a Templar and Masonic connection to the events and personages in the story?

Did the Exodus take place under Amenhotep II or Amenhotep III, two pharaohs of the same royal house separated by two generations and 80-odd years? Or were Thutmoses III, Hatshepsut, and Amenhotep Son of Hapu at the core of the action? The authors present two opposing, yet strangely interlaced historical accounts for the Exodus, naming the historical pharaohs and surprising candidates for the historical Moses. While Roberts presents an account that finds its moorings in the efficacy of scriptural historicity, Ward presents a new and completely unique theory for the Exodus and its cast of characters.

Scott Alan Roberts is an accomplished historian, theologian, and writer. Throughout the years, John Richard Ward has conducted numerous investigations of ancient Egyptian architecture and symbolism, and has explored the trade routes of the Western Sarahan Desert.

Jesus..."Behold I Make All Things New!

    in Prayer

In Revelation Chapter 21 verses 1-8 Beloved we see a New

Heaven and a New Earth and the the New Jerusalem the...

Holy City of God coming down and the

one who sits on the Throne saying...

    "I Am Making Everything New"...

We see that there will be no more death, mourning, or crying or

pain, for the old order of things have passed away.

How wonderful that Day will be Beloved when we together as one

will Worship the LORD in Spirit and in Truth in His Holy City.

He will be Our God and we will be His People. Read Revelation 21.

Beloved how do we get to the New Jerusalem of Our Heavenly Father?

Beloved we are encouraged while here on this earth to 1. Accept Jesus's

    Gift of Salvation.

Jesus while he was alive spoke to His Disciples and today Dear Beloved

we have the Words of the LORD in His Holy Bible.

John 12:32 Jesus said, and if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all

    men unto myself.

Back then many Jews believed on Jesus but they kept silent for fear of

being kicked out of the Synagogue. The Word says in John 12:42, they

loved human praise rather than the praise of God.

We are called to come unto the Father and John 14:6 says it best...Jesus said,

"I am the way, the truth and the life, no onee comes to the Father except

    through Him"

Beloved as we agree in Prayer this evening, it is my sincere Prayer that no

matter what you are faced with...know that the Father through His Son Jesus

Christ is making all things "NEW" now and in the Promised Future for those

    who Believe.
