    KiwK REPLAY- Stuttering John Melendez

    in Comedy

Once again, I'm going to try some audio tweaking here. Because I always end up getting listeners when I'm trying to test audio settings, I'm going to replay the interview with Stuttering John Melendez. It's WAY more entertaining than my trying to fumble with audio.

    JOHN MELENDEZ

    in Entertainment

    Man On The Move
Or is he? Jay Leno turned over the reins of his "Tonight Show" last Friday to Conan O'Brien. Will his announcer of the past five years, John Melendez, have a place in his new 10 pm show set to premier in September? Does he know yet?
Melendez began with "The Howard Stern Show" as an intern in college, and landed on the air almost immediately. During his 15 seasons with Stern, Melendez gained national acclaim and recognition with his daring interview style and prominent personality. In addition to interviewing countless celebrities on the radio, Melendez was simultaneously hired as a field reporter for the nationally syndicated "Howard Stern Television Show," where he worked for two seasons as an interviewer and in sketch pieces for the show's recurrent man-on-the-street segments. He continued his television work for Stern on the highly rated "E!" television show.

Aside from his notable work with Stern, Melendez's feature credits include "Private Parts," "Dude, Where's My Car?," and "Osmosis Jones." On television, he is credited with appearances on the reality series "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!" and "Celebrity Fear Factor," guest starring roles in "Wings," and "Baywatch Night" and in and the animated series, "Tripping The Rift," on the Sci-Fi channel. He also starred in the full-length feature, "Breaking The F-ing Rules," which he wrote and executive produced.

John is co-starring in "Not Another Not Another Movie," a film that spoofs the nonstop flood of spoof films, with Chevy Chase and Burt Reynolds, currently in production.

    Convergence with John Carosella

    in Spirituality

John Carosella hosts Convergence, a journey into shamanism, science, and mysticism, exploring our beautiful world. Making the mystical accessible to the scientific-minded, and bringing the language of science to the Mystery, John brings provocative, new perspectives to living, learning, healing, and discovery.

This month, John engages the topic of being a warrior - and being yourself. We start with a roundtable conversation with John's co-hosts Mildred Lynn McDonald and HiC Luttmers on "What does it mean to be a warrior, and can you be one without waging war and experiencing violence?" Then, in Exploring Reality, John shares what he learned through a challenging conversation with Mars, the Roman God of War. Things take a lighter turn with gentle Reflection on the nature of being here on Earth, in this magnificent garden, and then to an examination of "Skunk Medicine". Yes, it all makes sense -- but it's John's birthday today, so even if it doesn't, let's just humor him...and have a little birthday cake on us!

An Encouraging Word From John The Baptist

    in Christianity

The most famous words of John the Baptist are "He was become greater, I must become less, (John 3:30).  How can we in these days become less when life seems to be more complcated then ever before.  A hateful world sometimes pushes us to do things that we are not aware that we are doing.  It takes a strong attitude to endure all the hate and anger the world wants to throw at us- the people of God.  Letting people's hate pass by us and not reacting to it is best.  How we do this is remembering who we are.  These days calls for our minds to have a new attitude in Christ Jesus.

Reading: "The Offense of the Cross" sermon given by John G. Lake

    in Religion

"And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution?  then is the offense of the cross ceased."  (Galatians 5:11)

The early ministers and preachers were declaring that the Cross was the very CENTER of religion, the SECRET of government, and the INSPIRATION of culture.  You and I are called to represent that Cross in word and life, and if we fail to do it, we are failing in loyalty to our Lord and Master.

Men are afraid of God because of wrong concepts. Let a man meet God in Jesus and he will love God.

Old things are passed away.  That is the power of the cross.  All things are become new.  That is the power of being raised in newness of life in Him, (Romans 6:4).

GOP is strategically protecting majority in Cong., writing off 2016 Presidency

    in Politics

In an election, rule #1 for the voter is “remember that you are being told what that candidate believes you want to hear a person say.”  Live up to this voter rule, because the candidates will every stinking time.  No exceptions.  …well the exceptions always lose so they don’t count.

The GOP is not going to put forward a sincere effort to elect a president this year.  They will put forward a campaign field of candidates that will strengthen their power nationally.  That national prominence will then benefit them on their role in the House and Senate as they grapple with the Democrats.  Thus, the GOP is focusing on strengthening their position in the House and senate as a counter weight to the presidency.
