"The Science of Healing" sermon by John G. Lake Pt. 3

    in Religion

First today:  reviewing Dr. Lake's statements about the comparison between human digestion and assimilation of God's Spirit by your spirit.

Then the experiment he had done upon the cortex cells of his brain and the results.  The great dynamo of prayer and then some wonderful testimonies from which we can learn to 'grow up in God'.

I focus on the 'chair of pneumatology' and this program includes the statement of Dr. Lake where my interest in such a thing began.

"One of these days there is going to be a new chair (in the great schools of the land).  It will be a chair of pneumatology....the science of spirit, by which men will undertake to discover the laws of God.  And by the grace of God, men shall know that God is alive, and the living Spirit of God is no dearm."

There is the 'fire of God' in Dr. Lake's words today, and much to learn from them.

Ask the Holy Spirit to give you insight into the 'science of healing'.

Military Monday with John D. Gresham With USNI Press Editor Tom Cutler

    in History

Leadership. It is a word that has less and less meaning in mainstream American society these days, and is often confused with "Management," which it is not. Leadership is the uncommon virtue and skillset which allows one person to convince and guide others towards a common goal. In no way a science, Leadership is nevertheless a craft and skill which does have elements which can be taught. This is particularly important in military organizations, where Leadership is often a life or death matter in combat. However, Leadership is also vital to the establishment and sustainment of chains of command, without which any military organization will collapse upon itself and be destroyed. And while Leadership is more of an art form than simply a set of rules to follow, defining it is often difficult. Therefore, one finds Leadership as a topic being discussed in professional military journals across the globe, in almost every written language. One such journal is the U.S. Naval Institute (USNI) Proceedings which, since 1883, has provided naval-minded individuals with a open forum to express ideas, opinions, and thoughts regarding a variety of topics, especially Leadership in the sea services.

To learn more how Leadership is defined, join best-selling author, historian, documentary filmmaker and host John D. Gresham (@greshamj01) for Military Monday (#MilitaryMonday on the Writestream Radio Network (@Writestream)) at 1 PM EDT. His guess this week is U.S. Naval Institute Press (@USNI_Books) editor Thomas J. Cutler, who is managing the creation of USNI's new "Wheel Book" series. One of these is Naval Leadership, edited by Cutler, a collection of Proceedings essays on the subject by a variety of well-known naval leaders.

  • Sepp Blatter Out, Fred Hoiberg In, Stanley Cup Finals Preview

    in Sports

Earlier today FIFA President Sepp Blatter announced his resignation despite winning re-election last Friday in the midst of a worldwide scandal story.  His successor will not be known until December 2015 at the earliest, but one thing's for certain: Blatter had to go.  The Chicago Bulls announced today their hiring of Fred Hoiberg as the team's next head coach.  How will his tenure with the Bulls go compared to Tom Thibodeau?  Should Bulls fans expect greater results or merely happier front office employees?  The Chicago Blackhawks won 2 elimination games against the Anaheim Ducks and punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they'll face the Tampa Bay Lightning.  I've got a series matchup breakdown and my pick to win it all. All this plus your phonecalls @ (347) 327-9183 !
