Today's pace is frantic. People rush to and fro, constantly bombarded by news of current or impending disasters. TV is full of reality shows where people do whatever it takes to win.
Wouldn't it be wonderful, in the midst of all this, to be able to “cultivate contentment” and draw attention to timeless human values that are essential to well-being?
Cultivate Contentment: Using Ancient Wisdom to Thrive in Today's World. The focus of Johanna's book is to help people turn off their "Monkey Minds"... those thoughts that cause you to stress and worry, and focus on your "Core Essence"...those thoughts that give you contentment.
The babbling ego’s Monkey Mind generates suffering with the motto “Not good enough,” while the core inner being creates satisfaction with the motto “It’s all good.” She describes techniques to quiet the Monkey Mind and access inner knowing.
Learn how to turn off your "Monkey Mind"!

Truths are hard to hide. Has the library of freemasonry become too large? too deep? too much?
How old are we? 500 years? 298 years? Imagine the reaction you could get if you claimed your wine was 10,500 years old. Archeologists may have found wine dating from the stone age, but it would be absurd to make such a statement.
How old is the craft? It depends. Are you a student of theology tracing commonalities between the major religions? Our gene pool is that diverse that it can be dissected by literalists or mined for the allegorical content. If you associate the process in Netherlands where constitutional practice was introduced, then we are thinking 15th century.
If you are wrapping the Craft into a world dialogue then we are meaninglessly old.
Are freemasons expected to be students of science? If that's the case religious fundamentalists would not do well at all.

While the country was on the edge of their seats as the closest thing to marshall law in years was going down in Ferguson, Americas police force did not disappoint in continuing their tyrade against its citizens. Just a few miles from where Mike Brown was killed another shooting by police. This time, within 11 seconds of arriving on the scene, officers emptied 9 rounds into Kajieme Powell.

L.A.-based guitarist/singer-songwriter Dave Widow's latest CD,Waiting For The World To End, is not your usual compilation of cover tunes. His backing band includes: drummer Gary Mallaber (“Fly Like An Eagle”, “Moondance”, “Two Tickets To Paradise”, drummer James Gadson (Marvin Gaye, Paul McCartney, B.B. King), bassist Gerald Johnson (Steve Miller, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Dave Mason),
