Singer/Songwriter Offiong Bassey
Singer/songwriter and poet, Offiong Bassey, is an exciting artist who draws upon the numerous influences that have touched her life. As the first generation from her Nigerian family born in the U.S., the soul, jazz, and gospel music of America reside within her just as comfortably as the musical traditions of West Africa. She brings to them her unique ear for harmonies and phrasing, her ground-shaking, power vocals, and her unmatched versatility to create music that is fresh, inspiring, and just plain fun.
Her debut album, "Offiong Bassey" (released on her label Moonlit Media Group), is a nuanced, mosaic of songs that truly represent who she is as an artist – a genre-bending mix that includes Afro-Peruvian rhythms, funk, R&B and Nigerian Ekombi. The album debuted at #2 on the CMJ New World Music adds chart its first week in radio promotions and reached #4 on the Soultracks music chart.

Dr. Carl Johan Calleman joins Sister Jenna on the America Meditating Radio Show to shed some light on what the Mayan calendar is all about and how we can understand and use it in our own lives.

This Week on Living Astrology: Discover how the mysteries of the Mayan Calendar are still explaining how things are working today (even though it ended on 12/21/12 (actually October 28, 2011))
Join me and Scientist, Philosopher and Author Carl Johan Calleman, Ph. D. He will be talking about his new Book “The Global Mind and the Rise of Civilization.”
As we can see, the world did not just end with the end of the Mayan Calendar. Based on his research, Dr Calleman explains that the Mayan calendar is about the evolution of consciousness-- changing people on the inside -- rather than catastrophes or astronomical events.
Looked upon from this perspective, the Mayan calendar then remains the most important source for us to grasp the divine time plan for the evolution of humanity. In fact, with the shift in the Mayan calendar in 2011-2012, the transformation of the human mind to unity is only beginning!
So what does this mean to you? Are you waiting for transformation to magically hit you? Wondering what it will feel like?
I guarantee that this is going to be a great show - you won't want to miss.

Superstar singer, Marvin Gaye's baby sister, Zeola Gaye, sets the record straight about her big brother's incredible life and tragic death. It includes a Foreword by Grammy Award Winner, Carlos Santana and shocking excerpts from a letter handwritten by Marvin, himself. This is a must-read tell all for any Marvin Gaye fan or music enthusiast.
Zeola was a large part of Marvin’s life, working with him on tour in many capacities, as well as singing background on his hit “Got To Give It Up,” and performing as one of his dancers on his European and U.S. tours.
Zeola served as personal assistant to her brother on his last tour “Midnight Love.” She spent most of her time with Marvin, during his ups and downs after his tour ended in 1983, until his untimely demise.
Zeola’s credits include writing and co-producing the successful stage play, My Brother Marvin. She is currently collaborating with her sister, Jeanne Gaye on the stage play My Brother Marvin II.
“My Brother Marvin, a Memoir by Zeola Gaye” is Zeola’s new book about life with Marvin, and is long overdue—twenty seven years to be exact. Zeola felt that she and her family could no longer live with all of the rumors and inaccuracies that have been written or taped in documentaries about her brother and her family.
Finally Zeola has written the true untold story, and is setting the record straight about her brother Marvin.
Fans around the world who loved and appreciated Marvin and his music, will appreciate the book, “My Brother Marvin, a Memoir by Zeola Gaye,” written by, and from the heart of his sister.
