The Lewis Hine Project with Joe Manning

    in History

Lewis Hine was the photographer whose early 20th century photos of working children shaped child labor laws in the United States.
For the past seven years, Joe Manning has been conducting the Lewis Hine Project, an effort to track down and interview the descendants of child laborers photographed by Lewis Hine in the early 1900s. His work has resulted in stories about the lives of over 300 of those children. The project has been featured on numerous National Public Radio news and interview programs, and in a lengthy article in Yankee Magazine. It is now also a current exhibit at the Lawrence, Massachusetts History Center.
Join Fieldstone Common host, Marian Pierre-Louis on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 1pm EST as she talks with Joe Manning about this fascinating project.

Joe For America! Join #Team Joe with Joe The Plumber

    in Politics Conservative

Southern Sense is a show of conservative talk on news and events, with Annie "The Radio Chick" Ubelis as host and Dan Butcher, Pundit Press as co-host.

Guest: Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known by the nickname "Joe the Plumber", is an American conservative activist and commentator.

Joe (#the Plumber) gained national prominence when he asked then presidential candidate, Barack Obama, a question about his tax plan. The conversation was captured by an ABC cameraman and Joe's life would never again be the same. His story came to symbolize the idea of "spreading the wealth" in the 2008 presidential campaign.

Through massive amounts of mud-slinging and name bashing, Joe never backed down from his principles. To this day he continues to fight for the working man so they have the opportunity to fulfill their true American Dream.

Ep. 1 - 1 on 1 with Giants QB Eli Manning

    in Sports

NY Giants QB Eli Manning is in his 9th year as host of the Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Classic. I have been honored to be the emcee for the event for nearly a decade as well.

We caught up and talked about his connection to this fascinating charity.  While we were talking, news broke over Twitter that Patriots QB Tom Brady, who is 0-2 against Manning in the Super Bowl, was being suspended for 4 games due to his involvement in "deflategate."  Manning was professional in addressing his QB rival, but did offer unique insight on his experience this off-season trying out balls that had been deflated, and gives his opinion on the possible advantage.

On the 1st "From the Press Box" episode, we will hear my exclusive chat with Eli, & then his media interview right after news broke.

    in Politics Conservative

    All,
we have an exciting show tonight; only an hour long but with an excellent
    guest.

Tonight we will be joined by Rick Manning, president of Americans for
    Limited Government.

Our discussion will focus on the Trans-Pacific partnership, as well as
the effort to   give Obama fast-track trade promotion authority.

Both of these proposals are collectively known as Obama trade.
We will be discussing the emerging Right-Left alliance opposing this
multilateral monstrosity, and why those supporting limited government
should support limiting presidential power, even in the area of so-called
    "free trade."

Please tune in to the Andre Controversa show at
    www.blogtalkradio.com/andrecontroversa, starting at 9-00 p.m. CT.
    Our call-in number is 914-803-4350.

This show is for the community so whenever we can talk about topics you want us to discuss we will. Below is a brief description of tonight's topics. In the second hour we will open the line up to the callers. We look forward to all of your calls, thoughts, and comments. See you guys at 8pm est.

Madden NFL 16's CFM features - We will discuss how we feel about the features that have been revealed. We will share our experiences with some of the features. At the moment we are not allowed to give impressions but we can speak on what has been shown in the article. We will also discuss what the Devs can do for CFM to avoid the mode from becoming stale months after release.

This year's sports games releasing information earlier and at the same time - We will discuss how it seems like these games are releasing information much earlier. Are they releasing information around the same time on purpose?

NBA 2K16's release date and pre-order bonus - Is NBA Live the reason why NBA 2K16 is releasing on 9/25 and not in October? Is EA Access the reason for the 4 day earlier access with pre-order? Is NBA 2K trying to stomp out NBA Live? How does competition influence corporate decisions?

Latest Joe Montana 16 - How do you feel about the recent footage of JM16? What are your likes, what are your dislikes? Are you tired of the 3 second clips? Would the NFL allow JM16 to not advertise their game like Madden is doing?
