Jo Rae Perkins Is Our Guest

    in Politics

    Oregon Update –

Jo Rae Perkins candidate for U.S. Senate running to unseat current Sen. Jeff Merkley will be our guest on today's program.

November 2008, Jo Rae Perkins was elected as the vice chair for the Linn County Republican Central Committee.  Then in January 2009, she became the chair for the LCRCC.  She was elected as chair in 2010 and held that position until November 2012 when she did not seek re-election.
January 2011, she returned to college, attended Oregon State University and graduated June 15, 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, with a minor in Speech Communication.

Conversations with numerous friends, families and people from all lifestyles reveal voters are growing weary of career politicians whose main interest appears to be long-term employment for themselves.  Their agendas seem to be more of going along, to get along, to continue on.  In the process, they pass bills and regulations that are outside the intent and restraints of the U.S. Constitution.

Jo Rae believes that all elected officials have an obligation to read every bill [sorry Nancy Pelosi] to know what the bills entail prior to voting.

This is her promise, to read and analyze every bill, by weighing the merits and applying her three-way test, before she votes.  The three-way test: Is it congruent with the U.S. Constitution? Is it free from pork barrel spending and/or other non-related projects? Is it consistent with conservative social and fiscal values?

Interview With Senate Candidate Jo Rae Perkins

    in Politics Conservative

I am proud to announce that I will interview Republican Candidate for the US Senate seat from Oregon, Joe Rae Perkins.  I admit, I've already endorsed Jo Rae. Still, don't think for one second that ths will be a softball interview.  I intend on challenging her hard and asking her the tough questions. This will be a public vetting so that my listeners can decide if Jo Rae is a candidate they can support.

Jo Rae is Running for the U.S. Senate because
She is concerned about the direction elected officials have taken These United States of America. Our Founders and Framers formed a more perfect union of States, each with its own sovereignty through The Declaration of Independence, The U.S. Constitution and The Bill of Rights. They believed a government closer to the people would be more efficient and effective. They knew a large centralized government would lead to an over-arching form of rule, taking power away from the local citizens. Clearly the Federal Government is becoming centralized and over-arching. The time has come to shrink the size of the government. It is also time to remind our citizens that the United States is a Republic, not a Democracy. And, it is time the Federal Government follows the U.S. Constitution.

Her background in financial planning, budgets, banking, and real estate along with her many years of civic and community involvement have prepared Jo Rae Perkins to faithfully represent Oregon at the federal level. This is the time to elect Jo Rae Perkins to the U.S. Senate.

ObamaCare and Jo Rae Perkins candidate for U.S. Senate

    in Politics

    Oregon Update--

we are pleased to welcome back Jo Rae Perkins running for U.S. Senate as our guest on today's program where we try to tackle the tough question on taxes and get her views on it.

For more information on Ms. Perkins check out her website

PerkinsforUSSenate.com and follow her on Facebook

Obama care… On the surface sounds like a good idea. Everybody should have health insurance however, the reason why they don't mainly is because you can't afford it.

Robin just had her taxes done and as expected the tax preparer shared how much the penalty [excuse me the tax] would be if she did not have health insurance.

This year, Robin's penalty for not having health insurance would be $314 based on income and family size. Ultimately according to the tax preparer he projected maximum silver plan cost would be $325 per month or $3909 annually.

All sounds good and groovy doesn't it?

fortunately, Robin is getting enough in her tax return to a exactly for her property tax so it's an even wash.

    But what if it wasn't?

not everybody gets refund every year and not everybody can afford health insurance or even has the option. So what happens then?

were going to talk a little bit more in depth about the penalties from the Obama care act and we invite your phone calls and emails on your thoughts about them and if you've already completed your taxes, what has your tax preparer said that you would be owing this year for the penalty?

Mark your calendars… Saturday, February 22 4 PM Pacific time

Religious "hive mind" vs. "free mind" in Christ

    in Spirituality

Against or for Christ. How to know which side of this war you stand? Lets talk about it.

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, who followeth not us; and we forbade him, because he followeth not us.
But Jesus said, Forbid him not; for no one who works a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
It that is not against us is for us.
    Mark 9: 38-40

Contra ou por Cristo. Como saber de que lado desta guerra você está? Vamos conversar a respeito disso.

    Marcos 9: 38-40
